  1. you are describing exactly what happened to mine a year ago, it is also a 93 pathy. Had to get a new master kit, tranny band, cleaned the torque converter, replaced the neutral switch and of course changed the tranny fluid and replaced the filter... it's been a year and has worked fine since then... good luck on yours.
  2. sorry for the late reply guys and thanks for the comments. Two days ago I was driving, filled up the tank and it didnt mark anything until like 30 minutes after that it started going up, since then it's been work fine so I'll leave it like that and see if it gets bipolar again haha.
  3. Today I went to college, everything was ok, I parked, went to class, when I go back to the pathy I noticed the fuel gauge was marking empty ( empty as in the red indicator was like 1/4 inch lower from the empty line). I know I had almost 1/4 tank left so I drove home. When I got home I got underneath the pathy to check if it was leaking or something but everything seem normal. I don't know almost anything about fuel systems so any sugestions will do. Thanks guys.
  4. need torsion arm...broke the one in the drivers side yesterday.

  5. crazy to go wheeling after the storm over here in Puerto Rico but can't find a partner and my unbreakable rule for wheeling is never go alone in one car, at least two trucks.

  6. That might explain why the two locksmiths I took the cylinder to had a hard time making a copy. I took out the drivers side cylinder. Thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind.
  7. I'd say lizzard or turtle, but hey, I'm no biologist. Are you sure those aren't ping pong balls? lol, just kidding.
  8. any ideas on why my wd21 starts like failing when it rains, like if water got in as in if I had crossed through a flood or something and water got in. When I'm in complete stop and when going in low rpms it starts failing.

Imma go check the distributor cap isn't cracked or something. It's the only thing that came to my mind

Yup, it was the distributor cap, but it wasnt cracked, somehow one of the screws managed to unlock itself.Changed the screws with some new ones :)

  9. ok, I'll look for it around the forum. I hope to buy it thursday/friday and mount it saturday. I'll upload some pics, I envy your 5 speed, I want to make the swap very badly.
  10. That's mean Nunya, I like miatas! Can't say the same for Metros I already checked the trans. cooler with the Pepboys around the corner, they have a couple available, are they easy to install? or will I be breaking my head trying to mount it?
  11. hahah I'll go to a locksmith tomorrow. The first key to break was almost two weeks ago and it wasn't me, My mother wanted to look for something in the my pathy, so I gave her the keys, she puts the key in the drivers side door lock and turned it to the wrong side. Second and last key, I arrived at the university, took my class, when I got out and went to the pathy, surprise surprise I only had half a key in the key chain. I have no idea how or where it broke but it probably was in the ignition, funny/ scary part is that I can turn on my pathy with my small pocket swiss army knife and also with the half I still got of the second key that broke, if I play with it in the ignition I can manage to unlock the cylinder and turn it. But I need the new keys ASAP, I can't be leaving the pathy around unlocked... Thanks to everyone for the suggestions! As always, I'm most gratefull for the help and hope I can be of your service sometime.
  12. ok since I don't have both halves of the keys I'll take the door lock cylinders to a locksmith. About the tranmission, I guess I'll buy an aftermarket one this week. I have no Idea what the previous fix involved,The receipt says somethings about motor kit, converter, neutral switch and a band. And obviously the flushed the transmission so new trans oil and filter.
  13. Also, so I don't need to start another topic. I travel long distances couple times a month, I've been noticing that after a while driving the center console gets very hot. What should I do? Is it the transmission? Should get a Transmission Oil Cooler? The transmission was fixed about 9 month ago ( it's auto, I so want a swap for a manual).
  14. reminds me of mine...turns on whenever the hell it wants, but 4x4 works fine so I don't worry too much.
  15. that sounds awesome, keep us posted and remember we like pics!
