  1. Thanks for the diagram , up on the lift it goes . So foam AND the plastic clamps have to go ? What to use in place of the clamps , plastic ties with rubber surrounds ?
  2. No plans for regret , will visit my buddies transmission shop Wednesday and have the rad blocked and aux cooler installed , with temp gauge
  3. Thanks , guess I'll block off the rad and add an extra cooler with a temp gauge , better safe than in the repair shop dropping mega$$$ . And I sure don't want to hear how this is NOT covered under the super extended warranty . Any idea on a good cooler , B&M or is there something better ?
  4. So is it enough to block the coolant rad section off and run the factory trans cooler alone , or is a suplimental cooler needed ?
  5. Not saying they were your defects , but Nissan . Sorry if you took it personally . And I hae a 2009 jeep and a 98 exploder +a 2009 escape , don't need more cars
  6. Well nissan has lost at least 15 customers , no one in my family will go near one .All my fords never had a problem like this , and if they did it was fixed under warranty , NO QUESTIONS ASKED . Nissan is playing a stupid game , this and the rad/transmission problem will bite them in the a$$ .Own up to your defects .
  7. I think they used the wrong type of metal , have you heard of this happening often ? If so do you think nissan will pay part of the cost if I complain to the right person ? This rely sucks , that a 3 year old truck has such a problem . They warranty the body for years against rust through , why not ALL metal parts Seems they had a recall on rust through on some airbag sensor components , maybe they are being supplied with sub par components . My 98 exploder has the90% original ac components , just a few gaskets needed changing .
  8. Shocking news , condolences to the family . Lost my best friend to the same type accident 20 years ago , brings back all those memories . RIP
  9. Just had a $2000.00 repair, not covered by the ultimate extended warranty . A $266.00 A/C hose RUSTED through and it is 10 hours labour to change , hose goes from engine to rear compartment A/C rad . What kind of hose rusts through in 3 years ?? Not impressed with Nissan , have a 12 year old explorer with 450,000 km that costs me less in repairs than this pathfinder . My french is not great , but the bill says they had to take the body off the frame to change this hose , great design ! So beware , if your AC goes out hope it is NOT this hose that has rusted through ! if anybody wants i can post the part number .
  10. What a great story , enjoy the Pathfinder . Glad I was able to help , if only a little bit . This has to be one of the greatest forum and group of people ever ! Unbelievable ! Just wish I was able to join the trail ride .
  11. I'll put in 20 at a minimum , how are the negotiations with the yard going ?
  12. sure will ! they are 1/4inch thick , should do the job !! hey Im in Quebec as well , st annes des lacs !
  13. could be binding , try going a bit in reverse 30 feet or so, stop put in neutral then try switching to auto or 2 wd
  14. look like they cover everything and are light . Got the aluminum one instead of steel . Should let me bounce off rocks with no damage .The got her in 3 weeks , had to be made , and they did a great job ! The guys at https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/product_in...roducts_id=5365 were really a big help , I lost the instructions and they helped me figure out what went where . The plates were a bit pricey , but I think they are worth it , the first hit in a rock field will let me know !
