  1. So I have this all hookep up, but I'm not sure what this sensors output should be. Anyone know what voltage it should read? Maybe someone has a FSM that might say?
  2. Hey guys been a while since I've been on this site, but I know someone here can answer my question. The reason I haven't been on latley is I have a different project, 86 Chevy C10. Just finished up a cam swap and head porting job last week and I'm having troubles tuning the carb. I have been looking into using an O2 sensor and multimeter to read air/fuel ratios. Finally here comes the question, can you tell me if I can use my 88 O2 sensor V6 wd21 to read the a/f ratio with a multimeter instead of buying a different one. Like what kind of voltage it reads and what voltage is ideal and such? Sorry to say my pathy's just sittin. Thanks for any answers in advance. James
  3. Sorry about the little info. Replaced MAF today, reset the ecu problem solved instinct wins again! I think this is the first time I've seen a 55 code. Just so the post isn't a waste it was running just a little rough at idle this morning and misfired ALOT at WOT over 3500 RPM. Timing wasn't advancing far enough maybe? The old MAF was cleaner than the one I replaced it with so it wasn't just dirty.
  4. I just swapped motors from a 290k vg30i to 150k same thing. I drove the donor truck for some time before I rolled it and it developed this issue a long time ago. The motor that came out did not have this particular problem so I know I have a good part, I just don't know what it is. Anywho it runs great until about 3500rpm then it starts to misFire or not get enough fuel. I'm leaning towards misfire though. Maybe MAF?
  5. Started the day at 10am with no tranny or motor and drove home at 6pm. Oddly enough only issue was my pass. side headlight wont work just low beam is out even with a new bulb. Hmmmm.
  6. No, it doesn't even take an hour to swap them out and the guys down there are always willing to help me out. It's just not worth the trouble.
  7. Thanks everyone. Bad bearing. This is the fourth one on this warranty at orileys. This was the first one the regulator didn't go out on. Get a new one tomorrow.
  8. The lights flash when they are on. I only metioned the lights to help explain whats goin on. The voltage meter bounces all the time. The alternator IS charging.
  9. Well my altimeter bounces, all lights flash. the whole electrical system is effected. The gauge only moves about a .5 volts at a time. I don't think is a spark issue as it doesn't seem to change with rpm. I've checked belt and connections and it's a 4 or 5 month old alt. Any ideas?
  10. landcruisers had offset rear end you might look into that but i would say more problems than its worth
  11. Anybody know where i can find the rancho lift uca bushings or the part number for the lift? Rancho says they cant look up the lift by make and model (yes, I asked about hardbody as well).
  12. I am getting ready to have mine built. I wanna see some good bumpers and get idea of what they cost you to build or have built,
  13. ok i run an 88 with MANUAL hubs and manual tranny ans 32 inch super swampers with the hubs locked or free i have never had a problem shifting from 2h to 4h or 4h to 2h as long as i was off the gas as far as running at highway speeds in 4h you should only use this for icy conditions as long as you keep up on maintence you should be just fine i personally have no problem running down the highway in 2h in the ice and snow on the highway but i can see where some might have an issue also auto hubs are not locked when you are not applying torque so this should be an excellent time for you guys to shift hope this helps someone
  14. sweet i want one smaller and faster
