  1. My transmission is getting tired after 275,000 miles. It grinds going into 3rd and 4th. Also it falls out third when I let off the throttle. In addition it falls out of 1st sometimes when starting from a complete stop. First choice is to get it rebuilt (bearings and syncros). Second choice is to get a used transmission out of a junk. My question is: Will 86-95 transmission bolt straight in to my 88 pathfinder? Also will a trans out of a V6 hard body work? Also, is a later model transmission more desirable because they hold more fluid?

    RPM Problem

I have a 1987 pathfinder and I have got an issue with the RPM. Once the motor warms up a little when the RPMs reach 3000 the motor bogs out and u cant go passed 3000 RPM.. . otherwise it runs great and you can shift right through the gears. Does anyone have any suggestions. ....?
  4. I had a problem that sounds the same. Turned out to be a vacuum leak. A hose popped off underneath the air box back towards the firewall. I also found a cracked hose under the air box closer to the front. If you have some brake cleaner you can generally find a vacuum leak fairly easy. Do you know that trick? Also if it was smoged recently i have had problems with those smog guys knocking off hoses or whatever else.
  5. Driving in the snow is the best! Especially fresh poweder!!! Agree that other drivers are the most dangerous part and do make me nervous at times.
  6. Thank you! Its a smittybult.
  7. I was thinking if it was easy and cheap to do wheel spacers (mainly for looks). Anyway , not condsidering it any more. Thanks everyone!
  8. I would put a pic, but cannot figure out how!
  9. I am not exactly sure. I have actually been in oklahoma since August. Right now I have ProComp aluminum rims.
  10. I was thinking and inch or so. Thank you!
  11. I was thinking about getting some wheel spacers. Any specfic brand or way that I should do it? -Thanks
  12. I can not figure out how to get a members truck page. The only way if can figure is to start over with a new account. Don't want to do that....... Ideas?
  13. OK thanks that would be great! I was thinking that I might have a reciever built in on mine because i eventually want to get a winch on a reciever mount. So the thought is to have one winch for both front and rear just hook up on whatever end you need.
