  1. Hey, Im having a similar problem. I tend to lose pressure after the truck has been parked and turned off. Do you think it would be the same thing?
  2. Okay, I have read through all of the posts. I have a couple of questions that I dont think were answered by anyone. Where is the ground wire located for the headlights? I noticed one ground wire attached to the body just in front of the rad near the prop rod. Also, is it NORMAL for the Pathy's to have such poor headlights? I am not all that confident in myself to fool with the harness, can I put in better headlights? I hear everyone talking brands and types, I'm not all that fluent on the different lights. I just figured out the search feature, I'll try not to ask the same question as everyone else!
  3. Thanks Everyone I appreciate the help. I am soon going to be in the market for some new rubber, wanted to know if I needed to do any mods prior to putting on some decent tires. The reason why I didn't search, PAVELOW, is because first of all I dont know much about the site yet and the capabilities and 2, I never thought of it.
  4. Wondering what the largest tire you can put on a stock pathy? Going with larger tires, how much does it affect your fuel economy? I still havn't had an opportunity to put it through it's paces yet, I have a pal who has a 2005 Silverado so noone who can really go where I can go in the Pathy..
  5. Hey there all! Havning some trouble with my headlights. They are not nearly as bright as they could be. Is there a ground that I am overlooking? Could it simply be the bulbs themselves? The highbeams SEEM to work ok, I know they need to be aligned but they seem dim compared to others.. What do you all think? Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks
  6. I am not sure how to attach a photo to my signature. Could someone walk me through it? I have a pic on my profile that I uploaded but I have no idea how to get the url for it.. Thanks!
  7. Well, I am glad to see that I am not the only one. At least I know it is normal, I just wish it had the extra gear for the highway...Dont like taking it on highway trips.
  8. Hi there all! I have received some great advice on my new pathy. As I am still a new owner I havn't had time to do a lot of research into mods and such. Two questions..I noticed that with mine(91 4dr 4x4 3.0ltr) it revs awfully high, or what I consider high on the highway. Does that have anything to do with how it is geared or does it have something to do with the differential? I have a 2001 grand am with a 4cl engine and it revs about 1500 rpm lower than the pathy. Sencone question, is there a larger engine that will fit my pathy? Thanks
  9. Okay, so I tried something today, I tried to get the noise to come around while I was stopped. I put the front tires against a curb and attempted to climb up, as I did and more gas applied, it happened. Feels like something engaging all of a sudden in the back. Any thoughts???
  10. Yeah they salt the roads here too. I live In Nova Scotia, there is no shortage of salt in the Maritimes! Will look for the hole under the carper, but might consider just running under the hatch for when I need to haul something.
  11. I noticed the other day that the previous owner had a nice wiring job done on the pathy for a grade 1 tow assembly, he did not run the wiring outside though. I am reluctant to let it run out through the hatch and have the wires jammed in fear of pinching/breaking them. They are currently tucked in the drivers side tailight hatch in the back. Is there a good spot to run it out where it can be weather proofed???I would like something permanent and professional looking and water/weathertight. Thanks PV
  12. Thanks alot. Will look at the center link.. How do I know to repace it or not? If there was a bad gear in the dif would it not happen all the time during mild and moderate acceleration?? Will check the shock mounts, doesn't seem to be a problem over bumps. I had a 4x4 s-10 that I knew not to run on pavement, I figured the sames rules applied to the pathy..but thanks for the tips. How hard to replace a gear in the diff? Could it be a bad rear axle??? I really should look for the haynes manual! Thanks again! PV
  13. My battery light is comeing on, seems to be vibration related. I have had the alternator tested, works fine, battery is good. I was thinking bad ground. Would that also cause a decrease in head light strength. Seems my headlights are not as bright as they could/should be. How hard is it to install a steering dampener? My steering seems a little loose when off road, I was told to check all the steering components to ensure they are all tight. What are some of the key areas to check for the steering? What would it feel like if the tranny was stuck in 4 hi range?? I am having a clunking noise coming from the rear end during moderate to heavy acceleration. Thanks for your input.
  14. Hey there everyone! I am from Nova Scotia and I stumbled onto NPORA and I think this is a great spot. I have already received a lot of help on some tech advice. I have a '91 Pathy that I just abslutely love. I want to start some customizing for the off road as the stock pathy needs a bit of help. Any suggestions to start? Where would I go for manual lockers? I was told they are available but I'm not sure what company sells them?
