  1. Welcome from California Toby. You got me wondering about Gettysburgh... (I used to work in SoCAl and Compton was one of my sites) heh heh heh I am sure you will enjoy your truck and have lots of fun with her. The guys and gals here are a great bunch of people. We got folks from the Philippines, to Australia, a jump up to New Zealand and a skip over to Chile, up to Brazil, Mexico, the U.S. and Good Ol' Canada Eh! Oh I forgot the Former U.S.S.R heh heh! Anyway I mean to say there is vast knowledge here as well as camaraderie and a little bit of hecklin... once you get to know folks. Come on in, pull up a chair and grab a beer!
  2. DUDE they are SOOOO back in here in the San Francisco Bay Area!!! The only change is the vans now have 22 inch rims and it's mostly the hip hop crowd that drives them now. But same visor on the windshield, same side fiberglass running boards, same custom side windows, etc etc! I am telling you, maybe not the rest of the Country, but California (Bay area and SoCal) they got some weird reocurring fads out here. Pathy's however are timeless!
  3. Fellows, porque DOS FILTROS ? mejor que UN FILTRO? Just to hold a little more o que???
  4. Gracias Beastie. Going on your tip I fond yours which are Deutsch made for 94 in a light tint and some LUND made ones (they say AVS) for 64 in smoke. any one else have either one of these? also a bug deflector (I like the look on Nunya and Edicer2's trucks )
  5. DID YOU GUYS NOTICE OUTSIDE THE USA, places like Canada, Oz, NZ, etc it's letters out and in the USA it's letters in!?!? We did letters out in the 60's 70's and early part of the 80's. I am sure letters out will come back to the U.S. what with this big trend of 15 year old kids wearing 70's and 80's clothing, hair cuts, driving around 78 z-28's and other stuff i remember from when I was growing up. ids wearing Ramone's Dead Kennedy's Black Flag, Black Sabbath t-shirts! so i think in 5 years the U.S. will be white letters out, but for now, black is better, look cleaner.
  6. I think I am not but I think I may pass by Santa Cruz over the long weekend.. I will keep you posted. Not sure ye, tell your buddy i want that brush guard if he still has it, next month for sure, (for me to go and pick it up).
  7. Good job brotha! I am looking forward to the review and then I can get my own copy. I will most definitely get out there soon, I have to get used to driving a stick first! hah ha hah but I have been riding motorcycles since 17 so i think after day 1 jitters I will master shifting the Pathy. Then we can hit some trails!
  8. any U.S. sources for the wind deflectors (in channel) that let 'air in and keep the rain out'? amy preferred brands? I figure in channel is better but if you feel otherwise let me know and if you like yours etc... i know of ventshade but I know there are other sources.
  9. NO worries, we'll go later. I will just hang around here and go walk the dogs in the many creeks and trails here. Take the wife out to Dinner for her Birthday / Wedding Anniversary!
  10. yeah i thought i was getting my Pathy tomorrow and after going over the bills, i have to wait until next week, and even then, I doubt I will have the money to register it... and i was hoping to spend a $150 on a stereo... so i guess count me in but two months from now heh heh just to be sure....
  11. Count me in for meets and greets. I am in Pleasanton, still Bay Area, but close to hi 5 and Manteca, and I can also take the 605 to the 87 to SANTA CRUZ or the 5 to the 152 for Hollister, and I used to live in Rancho Cucamonga, so I am down for any SoCal meets, especially if we do a nice big one! Of corse I need a little notice, but it should be good!
  12. Money changes (unexpected bills) and so my Vegas trip is cancelled. (10 hour drive from San Francisco). I still have Thursday and Friday off and need to get out of the house. I should have the Pathy picked up by then so I really wanted to A, drive it on a little road trip, B see what the wheeling is like and C go camping with the wife... So.... Hollister Hills SVRA (in California) is only about 1.30 hours from here and I was hoping someone knew if there was available camping during the Labord Day weekend. Or even before, since I am off on Thurs and Friday.... I can camp those two days and avoid the big crowds. If it's open I would love to meet any other Pathy owners out there, or on the way! Gus.
  13. Nice, clean truck Phoenix! I wouldn't mind one my self, you got the goodies too, the sunroof and extended cab. Nice! I see you are painting your rear passenger flare, what did you use? Regards, Gus Padron.
  14. Seeing that it happened to Steveo here, maybe we can be proactive and figure out a simple weld on mod / cage (even under the vehicle) that would protect the footwell? When I first saw the head on collision picture, it made me feel good, because it did the job perfectly, crumple zones worked perfecty, and look at the windshield and even the driver window, not broken, which means the inpact stayed in front of the passager compartment... That is what they were designed to do! Then I read Steve's post and think, maybe if hit at an angle the geometry does not work as well... (which is not mandated by the government (YET)). BUt then, like on alot of the Jeeps I saw and even on my brother's 68 camaro, you can reinforce the area with some tubing, and create a subframe if you will, or a mini cage.... I remember Jeep guys would tie in their side rock bars (sliders) with plates and bolts through the floorpan and onto a cage, so it became one solid unit. Maybe we can weld up some bar or even flat steel under the footwheel and to the frame, or to a tranny mount (I do not know the vehicles enough yet to know what goes where)... I would just hate for my passanger (or myself) to get our legs messed up if we did not have to. Any ideas? All you custom fab guys and gals? mine is (will be) a 90 Pathy 4 door FYI, so I do not know if there is any kind of reinforced area in the footwell.
