  1. Have you try a locksmith to rebuild lock cylinder. My driver door lock can't turn with key and a local locksmith rebuilt it for $25. He said pins was pretty rusty, took it apart cleaned it. Figure it is easier than replacing all the lock cylinders.
  2. Thank you Dirtx for sharing this. This is the same brand that I installed 40K miles ago, seem to work good. Given this low price, I went ahead order one in future usage.
  3. Thank you for your reply. I just checked both rear tires which show around 32-34 lbs variance. Mystery continue to linger...
  4. Occasionally my 1995 Pathfinder dash cluster ABS lights up. The light will turn off after a re-start of the engine. I double checked by toping off low brake fluid and disconnect the battery hoping it will reset the error codes but the light came back. Anyone experience a similar problem and have a solution to completely eliminated this? I'm suspecting is the ABS sensor near the end of the drive shaft close to rear differential. The sensor is kind of pricy so would like to ensure is this part first. Appreciate any advise or feedback..
  5. I had the exact problem, where the temp gauge reads low and higher than norm idle when cold. At first, replaced the temp sensor with no success. Replaced the thermostat seem to resolved the problem.
  6. Have you consider a factor Z300zx leather wheel? The hub bolt on directly to factory unit, PnP cruise control and look and feel great with the thicker wheel. I have pics if you are interest to view it.

  8. This is great! From your picture, you were able to put back the A/C. Now that you have experience in doing this coversion. Just curious if you are willing to do another one? If so, what will be the going price? I live in Portland OR and willing to travel to Seattle.
  9. Well, have you try pushing the antenna back down into the motor? I am not sure your statement "looks like the antenna motor is pretty high". I guess once the inner fender is exposed, then you should be able to remove the mounting bolts and unplug the wiring harness of the antenna motor. Perhaps, if the can't pull the mast out then try cutting the antenna an/or mast so that you can remove from the fender well for repair or replace. Let us know how this turned out..
  10. Huh, I am confused how the gauge temp sensor/connection can cause drop in gas mileage. It only tells the gauge what the temp of the engine and does not impact the ECU so it does not dump additional fuel into engine? In anther words, why this sensor/connection has to do with gas mileage? Am I confusing the matter?
  11. I do not mind the gauge reads low given engine is performing at normal status. Hope the cold engine won't harm engine durability. My guess is the thermostat is probably stucked open because of the lower gas mileage and low reading on gauge. If is the gauge temperature sensor is bad then it should not affect the MPG...Right? If the ECU temperatre sensor is bad then it should not affect temp gauge..Right? I am trying to reason this out so that I don't have to spend un-necessary expenses. BTW - Anyone know the approx price for these parts and where is the best place to purchase them. Thanks to all who reply! Cheer... Richard.
  12. Recently my 1995 3.0L A/T Pathfinder with only 85K miles temperature gauge reads low (approx 1/8 above "C" mark). Heater is blowing warm/hot air while travel within 5 mins of driving. Gas mileage seem to went down to 14-15 MPG instead of 17-18. Idle seem to be high (1500 RPM) while cold then drop to the normal 800 RPM when settled within 5-10 mins. I tried to search for this issue and came to several conclusions: 1) Thermostat may be stuck open 2) Bad ECU temperatre sensor 3) Bad thermal transmitter (a.k.a engine coolant temperature sensor). My understanding this sensor goes to the temp gauge. With the above symptoms..can someone please chime in with their expert advises? Appreciate your help and look forward to your reply. Richard.
  13. My power antenna mast broke in the lower portion. All I did was remove the top nut and plastic spacer, power up the radio then pull out antenna along with the broken mast. The other broken piece was still in the housing. Basically, you'll need to remove the antenna housing from the fender. 1)Turn the wheel all the way to right so that you can access the plastic fender well. 2) Remove the screws around the plastic fender well, don't need to remove completely just half way so that you can access the antenna mounting bracket bolts. 3) Remove mounting bolts and unplug wiring harness then remove the assembly from fender. 4) There is a screw in the center of a round housing..unscrew it then separate housing to pull out the reminder broken mast. 5) Install assembly back in fender. 6) Have someone turn radio off to feed the new mast, you'll feel a pull and down goes the antenna. 7) Have a beer and reinstall all the left over pieces back onto vehicle. 8) Enjoy! Good luck!
  14. Yeah, I don't disagree that will have zero HP gain with the heat shield removed. The vehichle engine just feel it has less resistance when coming off the line. Anyway, for what it worth the dissipate heat may improve the manifold studs from heat/cold expansion.
  15. Today the weather hit in the high 90s. I did notice my Pathy runs quite smoothly with A/C blowing. I believe the engine has a little more get up and go feel with the removal of the heat shields. Just curious if other have this feeling? Now, I am plan to remove the heat shield out of my Honda Civic as these little engine need all the power it can get....
