  1. I actually said the XJ has solid axles becaues I figured that would put an end to the XJ standby, but it didnt. The article you quoted says that full sizers are not minivans, and where else do you ever see a pathy mentioned. This is becoming another one of those threads that I should stop looking at before it makes me any dumber.
  2. Hey finally, and no the WD isnt a car, its a truck, if it was unibody and had IFS then I would call it a car. And, if I hear the old XJ and H1 standby again im going to vomit...
  3. To bad im talking about Renault. To the Ridgeline is a minivan, guess what, its based off the Odessy!! :o The taco and Fronty have frames!!! :o
  4. I can swap a 3.3 in my WD with no problem at all. Jeep XJ's have solid axles, not a car type R&P and struts. My truck weighed 5600 with a fully loaded former sail boat trailer full of a cut down tree, last time I checked my truck wasnt entered in a Baja race (which a pathy won in like 95). Ive said it before and ill say it again, im sure the r50 wouldve been much different if it was a product of Nissan. Sorry, didnt know we were getting aggresive. In that case... well, it doesnt really matter because anything I say will now be considered R50 bashing, all well.
  5. Well, personally, I look to buy a truck when buying a truck.
  6. All ten more HP, and thats what I look for in a truck
  7. Yeah Ive seen it too, theres one where it turns in front of a car and crashes and another where it just drives bye and then another where its the focus of attention. I bet the one that crashed will never drive straight again though.
  8. Thanks for clearing all that up Camo!! And unccpathfinder, something like this isnt direct bolt it, as you know, id figure it would be just buy the kit and use what you think you can and make it work the way you want it to, taking most of the guess work out of it.
  9. Ive been following this on AC, which you would probably get a much better response on N4W because as soon as a mod sees it on AC its going to come down. Anyway, on to my questions and comments... 1) Id rather not have the stock Nissan knuckles etc., becuase you wouldnt be able to run Hi-steer. Not to mention the more custom stuff you have the more spares ya gotta carry. 2) Coil overs are spendy, you may look into to just coils and regular shocks, much like an Early Bronco. 3) In the pics of the HB there is no driveshaft, most people that run a radius arm set up have made a custom transmission crossmember that is notched to provide driveshaft clearence. 4) The radius arms are mounted to the stock torsion bar cross member, cleary the arms are much longer than the typical EB set up, again, most radius arm set ups ive seen have another custom crossmember for those too. 5) Hats off to you guys for trying to do this, it looks very nice but the aforementioned comments and questions were just things I wanted to clear up for personal knowledge.
  10. Oh man, that cracks me up, I thought for a second something would come out of this thread, I dont even know what to say, im just getting dumber by participating in this thread.
  11. Wow, I was hopeing that would come up that would come up, that statement just reminds me as to why I hang out at AC and N4W more and more now-a-days. Let me just put it this way, IFS has nothing to do being off road, NOTHING, these CORR and Baja trucks have IFS, CUSTOM IFS. Waits for the Humvee to brought up...
  12. IFS flex (sorry for the big pic) SA flex (I cant find his front pics right now)
