98 Pathfinder - Possible Cluster Issues

All, 

 

I have a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder. 9/10 all gauges do not work on my dash board. Including speedo, odometer, tachometer, temp gauge, fuel gauge. And then by some miracle 1/10 times it works as per normal. 

 

I first thought that it was a cluster issue so I tried a self-diagnosis similar to the below youtube link. All dials went up when pressing the button so I assume that means that my cluster is not the issue?

Could it be the VSS? Is this something I can change at home easy enough?
