SCJax2018
I just got a Curt class 3 trailer hitch kit for my Pathfinder. Those four bolts each side can really hold up to pulling 5,000 pounds???
mjotrainbrain
Moved to the regular R50 section instead of FAQ's since it isn't really established as an FAQ yet.
mjotrainbrain
Yeah, they'll hold it solid. Bigger issue is how you load it and the strain on the transmission, it's not really a vehicle intended to tow at max capacity through hilly terrain for long periods of time. I used my hitch for snatch recoveries off-road a number of times and it never bent a bit or even tried to come off.
SCJax2018
My bad, I posted in the wrong spot. I posted from my phone instead from my computer where I can actually see what I am doing. As far as towing, I don't intend to pull anywhere near the max. Travel trailer I am designing should only be in the neighborhood of 3500 pounds.
Bax03SE
You’ll be fine with that load. I use mine for towing a lot and it’s very solid.
Slartibartfast
If you're running an auto trans, put a cooler on it.

It has an external cooler, but I think I am going to put a little larger one on it because the one on it now is real small like 3 in wide by about 10 inches long.
