hi all,

looking for ideas on replacing the rubber/ plastic side glass seals.

these have shrunk over time and become brittle.

i doubt if nissan would have any and the price would be scarey.

what have others used ??? i have looked for pinch moulding without success.

any ideas will be appreciated.

thanks , shane..

I used 3m marine grade adheasive and filled in where it shrunk. once dried I trimmed it to match the molding where it shrunk with a razer blade. looks good and cant really tell

I used gasket sealant to fill in the gaps. Now the gap is larger lol. Ebay has the window moulding for hardbodies which work

the 3m stuff is really good and does not shrink. it is used for sealing up boats. not all stuff is created equal.

I have done the 1994 but not the 1991 yet.

the plastic trim on both started to warp out away from the chanel. I used a heat gun to heat it up and shape it back into the channel. Then used the 3m adheasive to fill the gaps.

I will snap some pics when I get a Chance.

BTW  when I got the 1994 the previous owner put about 2 inches of clear silicone all the way around the glass. It looked like crap
