2001 pathfinder blowing 7.5 elect ignition fuse 2. car rocking boat, I've read this is the bushings but i havew no clue on how to change it, Not a Mec

Recommended Posts

When I go to start the truck my 7.5 ignition switch blows. I have changed the N-P relay, the battery and the 7.5 elect ignition fuse. It will start but blows the 7.5 fuse and dies. I found one place where it says to change the ABS pump relay? Any ideas? Also, I have the rocking boat syndrome as well. However, I am not a mechanic. Does anyone know someone that can fix this for me. I am willing to help, but I'm not a mechanic. I live in Pekin Indiana

I'm not sure about what the rocking boat syndrome entails, but my 02 Pathfinder (R50) had really mushy OEM springs and the shocks were past being worn out. I replaced all the springs and shocks (both front and rear) last month and it is light years better. The OEM springs Nissan uses on this generation of Pathfinder are notoriously soft and awful. You will have much better results with a quality aftermarket set of springs.

"Rocking boat syndrome" sounds more like bad link bushings to me. More often known as the death wobble or the Pathfinder samba. No idea on the fuse--I'd start with the wiring diagram, unplug everything you can find that's on that circuit, put the fuse back in, then plug stuff in one by one until you find which thing pops the SOB.
