Putting these new tires to work

Recommended Posts

Did some more wheeling last weekend and gotta say this old pathy held her own with some badass rigs. Here’s a couple shots. Also installed my CB radio as well. Tell me what you guys think. Even had the pleasure of pulling out a stuck Jeep lol. 6189beeef49a2860773aa8c1cd41861a.jpg666a37b9b504ac948c72e0bf73513f4a.jpg99ea7ad85b0468568ad08009d00d2f5a.jpg3a00a078a94a2d4ba9157371eb41f4c3.jpgdaacfbb3b2a04ffa4f118b3dc33fe305.jpgc7c2171cebef6cf947161aee3189f16f.jpg8a381c5e8fe9b5a27cb52a17148cdd06.jpgbe1f33a07f08bb6c90283e77b91bb119.jpg9f9749d66bc6bf8af297adde3a677670.jpg

CB looks good! Lusting after all those empty switch blanks below it. Where did you get the tailgate antenna mount bracket?

Looking good! Ferrariowner123 also has a full DIN CB that I dig. Im really loving the wide face, easy read display and bright color these units have.

Did you have to modify anything to the factory mounts for it to fit?

Holy crap I just realized I never replied to this, smh. The factory mounts were untampered, I removed the storage pocket and moved the radio to the bottom and slid the CB on top of it, I did have to trim the the panel on the sides a bit for the CB to actually fit and slide in place

No lift at the moment, that’s next on my list after replacing my steering rack

Oh wow no lift huh. What size tires? Look like 32s

They’re 31s , had to take the mud flaps off and take a heat gun to the fender liners so it wouldn’t rub

Oh gotcha, those are beefy 31s. I feel like I could have almost rolled my 32s stock if I molded some fender areas, but the lift goes on tomorrowsu7n20ah.jpg

Yea these coopers are a M/T tire so they’re definitely knobby, I got em for a steal so I grabbed em. Little noisy on the road but awesome on the trails. I like the size of those 32s, makes me wish I went a little bigger

Without a lift you probably wouldnt have much room for flex in the front. Depends on the tire tho. I was on the fence between sizes and actually came down to which tire I bought. The Falkens only measure 31 with zero load at 38psi.
