98 pathfinder restoration

Decided i cant let this thing go to the junk yard because I know theres still years of enjoyment left in it. Motors shot as is the Trans so step 1 will be removing both. Have been searching for hours trying to find a how to on these matters but cant find anything does anybody know of one? Thanks for all the help im sure i will get over the next few months

The Chilton & Haynes are good, but designed to help the shadetree mechanic, whereas the FSM is much more thorough, designed to walk professional techs through every diagnostic and repair procedure on the vehicle.

For future reference, idx.pdf is the index. It's the first one I open when I need to find a specific section for a part.

What I did was download the lot of them, then rename each one with the section name, not just the abbreviation. After you use it for a while, the abbreviations and organization start to make some amount of sense.

For some FSMs, if you download them all into a single folder and start with the fwd.pdf, you can just click around to get into the section and pages you need. Probably depends on how the FSMs were imported (i.e., scanned from book or from original CDs or other digital imports).
