Dezervon
Hey pathy fans, what happened: -5C outside, after yesterdays drive the wipers froze to the windscreen and today I switched them on too early so the linkage snapped. Checked that the wipers are connected with each other, so the fault must be with the blades(?) from the motors end. Haven´t opened it up yet to confirm, but has anyone got experience or knows if it´s easy to DIY?kind regards, Martin 1990 Nissan Terrano 2.7TD
Dezervon
Opened it up and nothing was broken. The rods are connected by ball joints in the center of the linkage and under pressure, the motor´s side rod end jumped out of the socket. Clipped it back in and fixed. A lot of plastic clips didn´t make it though, as they were very brittle. So heads up when removing the air intake covers.
Slartibartfast
Good to hear it was an easy fix! And yeah, those little clips holding the air grilles on are weak sauce. I gave up on mine and used black zip ties.
adamzan
You can buy the proper ones from any place that sells body shop supplies.
