Free is for me my 1995 wd21 budget build

Recommended Posts

So I recently acquired a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder xe 4wd manual with 207xxx for free. It had gotten in an accident and my buddy just needed it gone. The good motor trans and all important things run great. Timing belt in the last 10000 miles oil change less than 2000 miles. Ice cold ac. In Florida that's a nice luxury. The bad cracked radiator, dead battery, broken grill, headlights, bent bumper, bent passenger fender and some minor missing interior pieces. All and all an amazing score. I'll send more updates and show more photos later.

Couple trips to the wreckers, few hits with the BFH, case of spray paint, should go back together. And free is always nice!

Odd that the rear pillar's primered, that and the hatch suggest a very odd collision. How's the frame?

So after some pricing out on Amazon and the limited numbers of pathfinders the last few months and my desire to make something new and rugged has pushed me to take a new approach on the front. So I stripped it took some measurements and found some scrap material in my warehouse for a grille. Here is some of my sourced stuff from Amazon 813f9be1a267648d93031bc7c69602ba.jpg324f22e8530562f8ce8ea0dd7ccd0e2d.jpgff34fad2c1ce1eeb062dfc4f69468477.jpg4c29c4caddf095f7102daa85b4b606c4.jpg7641414f5ac4b0508777fd1055b3e70a.jpg326fa96318274c74c901635fe440b7c7.jpg1e39e3f9cfbaf054e2e870892978b19c.jpg5e885c39ff5146359dd12d86a7e12d62.jpg

You might get lucky and find a colour matched fender at the wreckers. Not bad for free at all. Weird how the rad is cracked but the AC still works? The Rad is behind the AC condenser lol.

So I got together my new rack put together and I'm liking the way it sits flat it was a pain getting the front right with the roof hatch still able to open. Also found a hardbody at the Local pull a part and considering a front bench swap. To my knowledge no one on here has done it. If I am wrong please correct me and tell me how you did it

Yeah you lose the center console and have to relocate your parking brake but It's definitely worth the price to try especially since the wife and I are considering having a 4th so an extra seat keeps my away from a third row off road longer
