So my buddy gave me a free filter and I just noticed it doesnt have a place to put a hose in like the stock airbox that suppose to have it. Will it be ok for me to run it unplugged.

I'm not familiar enough with the R50 to know what that goes to, but generally having a vac line unhooked isn't a good thing. You could just take a little piece of brake line, drill a hole in your filter adapter, and glue it in to create a nipple for the vac line.

Look out for puddles with that cone.

Like slartibartfast said, drill a hole close to your maf and I'd just put a zip tie on both sides of it to "clamp" it onto the tube
