morrjo
Hi all new to the world of off road and bought a 95 pathfinder with 2" lift. I was wondering if anyone can reccomend the max tyre size and width - currently has 31.10.5/15. Appreciate any advice! Cheers
RIPB.88
With a 2" I would stay with 31x10.5. 3" suspension+3"Body lift=33" Tires. It all depends on the backspacing on the rims. Some members running lego wheels run 33s with no body lift and some trimming.

gv280z
with a 2" lift you should be able to get by with 32" x 11.50 /R15 on Legos. Thats as big as I'd recommend going regardless just because of the weight of the tire and the multiplied force and leverage placed on the suspension, hub bearings and drive shafts. A 32" tire with 2" of lift will give you a lot of ground clearance, just as long as you don't try to play in a full size trucks 38" ruts. New South Wales, is that New Zealand? Whats the jacked up Ford / Chevy / Dodge redneck lifted truck scene like over there? Oh sorry, i just saw your question to RIP B88 on the Legos: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/29976-93-95-nissan-se-alloy-lego-wheels/ Edited March 8, 2017 by gv280z

NSW is in Australia - not so many newer lifted trucks just lots of classic NIssans / Toyota / Mitsubish mean machines
gv280z
Yes, those are the factory steel rims and they are either 6" or 6.5" wide, I think a 31" x 10.50 tire is probably the widest that can or should be mounted on those and I don't know about their backspacing (I never really understood about offset and backspacing, don't get me to lying.....) The Lego rims are 7" wide.
gamellott
I had an XE pickup with the factory steel wheels like this and I found that I had to trim the front end of the fender flare in order to be able to turn the wheels without rubbing the on 31s. Might be the same situation? I'm pretty sure that the fenders are different between the XE and SE Models to accommodate the difference in tire size that they came with. Something else to consider. KovemaN
I've had 32x11.50 BFGs on the steelies. No issues even with no lift on a WD21. I don't think I would off-road that setup though. When aired down, the 32's are probably too wide for the bead. I've never had tyres? Are those any better than regular tires?
