question on 2001-2004 3.5vqde pathy's

Been shopping around for a very specific combination of features on a 3.5L toting pathy but not coming up with any FS hits anywhere I look... Makes me wonder if it exists?

I'd really like have a manual shifter for my transfer case and a manual transmission as well... Seems this combo is easily found in 3.3vg r50's but suddenly they are all automatic trannies and seemingly mostly switch controlled transfer cases 2001-on...

So question one... Does the desired combo even exist in the 2001-2004 3.5vq model years...

And question 2, if not, will a manual from behind a 3.3vg have a bell housing that will mount up to the backside of a 3.5 vq block(or can a bell housing be pulled from another car/truck that would make the conversion possible/easy)?

I'm currently in an '81 Datsun 720 with yet another blown head n would really just like to get into a pathy period... Be it wd21 or R50... But if R50, I'd really prefer the additional power offered by the 3.5vq. I've even contemplated stripping a junker of harness, engine, n all, and just making the swap into my 720... But that comes with all sorts of fun referee approvals and smog regulations here in California snd don't earn me the additional seating updated interior features... But that's a whole diff project and more than I want to really get into)

Hi,

This combo exists, see my pathy below, but I don't know if this configuration it is quite common on USA.

Sorry off topic, but what is that tire pressure gadget you have installed there? Looks good!

Also interesting that you have the manual climate controls in a 2001+ or was that normal for base model perhaps?

Thanks for the answers fellas...

In not sure how accurate it is... But according to the options down on this site

http://www.autoblog.com/buy/2001-Nissan-Pathfinder-SE__4dr_4x4/

It looks as though the XE model falls off after 2001 (2002 is only SE and LE)

I think the only model that comes with manual trans standard is the SE 4x4, and the LE looks like it doesn't even allow the option to downgrade from the automatic after 2001, so I can only think your 2002 LE with a manual is a product of your country and the fact that they just have more common sense manufacturing and less lazy people that would rather have expensive to fix automatic trans instead of learning to drive stick.

Again, who knows how comprehensive or correct that sites options are, although with the level of detail, down to color options and dealer sounding descriptions, I think it's prob spot on.

Still gonna look to see if I can find a dealership brochure with a grid style display of models and available features...

Besides the specifics I desire, what do you guys consider a fair price to pay for a straight, no seat tears, and well maintained 2001-2004 4x4 pathy? Don't care about paint condition, but prefer no body dents/dings.

I have 31x10.5x15 toyo open country m/t that I will remove from the 720(on Black D Window wheels, not sure if cragar or awc, but think it's 3.75"bs). Will 4" SFD and replace shocks and struts right away so a sagging suspension is not a problem, mainly just need a good running engine and drive train snd clean interior.

When I bought my '01 SE new back in Dec. 2000 I was thinking I wanted a manual transmission. After searching dealer inventory and available options my choices were either a pathfinder with a manual transmission with out a sunroof. Or automatic trans with the sunroof. I opted for the sunroof and the automatic. And also thinking about the traffic in LA I feel it was a good decision. I also have the manual climate controls and manual T-case shifter.
