maddmark1981
I just want to give a big shout out to all the guys and gals on here willing to help, to be honest I believe our objective as humans is to help one another and return the favor pass it on, pay it forward hommies. Ahhahaha And then the squeeling noise which I knew it was in the belt system, so I was at the Canadian tire gas station in Moncton and the lube of choice was 80-w90 gear oil ... While it was off I put the oil in the front and back of all the pullies.. Once I started it it went away, but I looked and seen the lowest pully seemed to have a bit of a wobble , should these be replaced right away ? RF600
I know this is old, is it fixed? If not try the idler pulley bearing.
maddmark1981
Ok, cool thanks... What I did was put a little gear oil on each one on that very day and it has not been back since... Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
RF600
The idler pulley bearing is sealed. It's best to replace it.
Slartibartfast
You say the lowest pulley had a bit of wobble? That's the harmonic balancer, and there's a rubber layer in there that's supposed to dampen vibrations or something. When it lets go, the pulley can get misaligned or shift around. This would cause misalignment and belt noise, and if the outer part manages to walk forward, it could make friends with your radiator.
adamzan
That's less of an issue on the WD21, more on the r50, with the one piece balancer. Mine looks wobbly at idle too. But as soon as you give it any throttle it smooths out...
