livryd
My pathfinder is picking up a vibration at higher speeds. I live in San Antonio, Tx and run to Port A on weekends 3 hr drive. The vib started at anything over 95mph now 3 months later it vibs at 70 mph and if I push it past 80mph mirrors vib so hard can't see out of them. Didnt know if anybody else had this problem. I balanced tires twice and even put new tires on it. There is 67,868 miles on the pathfinder and looks and runs like new but Vibration is killing me. 5523Pathfinder
What kind of tires? Have you checked your driveshaft u-joints? I have replaced several front u-joints in the rear driveshaft.
livryd
It came new with BF rugged trail and that was also second set. BF K02's are the new ones on it now. Little more road noise and not as comfortable ride. Rugged trail call for 44 psi Max. The KO2 is more of a truck tire so 80 PSI Max. I run 40 PSI in mine. I have not checked my U-joints or disconnected front drive shaft. Tommorrow I get after it. Thanks AL PS. I have not bypassed my radiator yet. 5523Pathfinder
If they are rated at 80psi, the have got to be a E-rated tire. E rated tires on a pathfinder are going to give it a very stiff ride. Do not run your tires at max pressure unless you are loaded down. Go with the pressure on th left front door jamb. I run BFG M/T KO2s and yeah there is some vibration, but not bad. But I also ain't doing 95! Double check your wheels for any mud or debris caked on them. It would also be a good time to inspect you haven't lost wheel weights. Now, there may be one other issue, and that is the amount of road force in the tires. Did you balance the tires or take it somewhere?
livryd
Fixed the problem by changing the Propeller Shaft. Basically its the whole front drive shaft. (transfer case to front differential). Part no. 37300 ZL91A. If you google part code 37200. Or go to nissanpartsdeal.com and put in 37200-ZZ70A. It's a $311.82 part. The dealership charged me $406.34 for the part. Hope it helps someone else. Fixed on July 24 2015 three months to figure this out.
