northbynorthwest
Just wondering what people have found to be the best brake pads for wd21s? I've heard some people have had issues with EBC stuff - any truth to the rumour? Any other brands of "premium" brake pads that you have had more success with? madhakish
I have always had good experience with Napa's premium pads. I put steel lines on a while back which firmed things up nicely.
adamzan
Just avoid the cheap 20 dollar pad sets and you should be fine. I am thinking about going with the Hawk pads next time around. I usually just use the Monroe stuff because it works great, doesn't make noise, and is reasonably priced (about $50 a set locally).
Slartibartfast
Madhackish, where did you find the steel lines? I looked around a bit, but I couldn't find a kit that would work with rear disks.
WD21colorado
so far have new ebc rotors and new Hawk OES pads on the front. the braking power seem to have improved. I really like on how well their working so far. and I would suggest them to other people. but keep in mind replacing the rotors on the front of the pathfinders are a little difficult at first if you have never done them before. so far the rotors where ( EBC Brake Rotors - Ultimax OE Style Disc Kit (RK620) and the brake pads. ( Hawk OES (Original Equipment Service) Brake Pads (770333) the rotors are a little pricey but seem to work well even in high heat loads.
