Yea! I told my brother all it needs is a “Nissan” watermark and it’ll look like a poster from when it was new !

You know the Nissan Pathfinder R50

But have you seen the Nisyota FJ Finder

Or the Toysan PathRunner

I think my Nissan & Toyota DNA are starting to mix!?! Or at least my girl stepped in something!

Gonna keep that last set on there? (5th gen 4Runner Trail Edition wheels right? Maybe just SR5 wheels, idk) It looks sharp, kinda blingy but not too much in my opinion. Makes the whole truck look a bit newer.

Ha ha mjotrainbrain - that’s what TowndawgR50 said - too urban. Those were just 2 spares from a set of 5th Gen TRD Off-Road Premium TakeOffs I picked up to split among my Mom & some T4R friends (Toyota is too cheap to include a 5th Alloy - it’s a steelie).

The 8 Holes are from one such friend’s son’s ‘12 FJ. They were a kindly gift to me. By the end of next year I’ll probably be running both the 8Holes & the OEM 6 spokes with a set of new “Off-Road” tires on one & a set of street tire for Oct/Nov - April/May on the other. I just need to decide which is which - might do the 8Holes for on-season just to mix it up a bit. BTW both are 17” wheels & fit 265/70R17s up front- though the strut clearance was less than a finger.

Of some amusement, each wheel represents another decade.8baaaa6900f7c6aea9483ac17de30e9b.jpg5541c703048fb515ace50f27f870f84d.jpg7232fe6a6c697cec1ce33c83181c46bc.jpgd6cb625cb897f7f77e363f01ddcdab08.jpg

Geez that's huge! Now that it's been done for a while, what are your thoughts? Anything you'd still like to change, or would do different next time? How well does it go down the road, any big issues with shaking or death wobble? I'd imagine that little V6 is struggling with those meats, even with good gearing.

If I had to do another SAS (Im planning on another once I graduate), I'd lower it some (around 4-6" total lift), change the angle and mounting location for the upper mount of the coilover/airshocks, put the axle side coilover/airshock mounts an inch wider on each side, ditch the doubler, make a different trans crossmember with a slot for the front driveshaft, triangulated 4 link instead of parallel, ditch the cradle. In an ideal world, I would sas a 3.5 next time. A bigger motor couldn't hurt either..

Overall I think it was fine considering it sat around 26" of lift. Less lift would solve so many of the headaches.

I never experienced any death wobble or shaking luckily.
