brc19761
Hi, I just bought a 2008 nissan pathfinder with dvd player, rear fold down screen, and head phones. It came with the factory remote control, but the previous owner left the batteries in the remote. The batteries caused severe corosion that got onto the circut board of the remote. I tried fixing it several time, but it would not work. The remote controls all the dvd player functions. I do not have a touch screen. So features like play, stop, etc., will only work with the remote control. I know I can buy a new factory remote on ebay for $40-$50. I was wondering if a universal remote control would work. I have searched the web and cannot find who makes the nissan factory dvd players. That way if I used a universal remote I would know which code to use. Thanks, brc

brc19761
Thanks for the reply. I just found the answer to my own question . It has to be a nissan remote control. They work off of a certain signal. Guess I will be visiting ebay. thanks
Alkorahil
the remote for the DVD system on the R51 is: PART NUMBER: 28267-5Z000 DESCRIPTION: SWITCH ASSY, REMOTE $78.75 (NISSAN LIST: $136.08) on the back is stamped: M4C477072C which I would guess is some sort of model number from the supplier. motoman70
You can always use the steering wheel controls, and press the DVD button on the dash to access the play feature on the main screen.
