petespath
Well I have ruined a good pair of tires. Not sure the issue is extreme camber or toe in, but the front tires are both worn on the inside edge. What is the cause, just an alignment issue, or inner and outer tie rods? Thanks Pete. adamzan
Either you have loose components (bearing, ball joint, or tie rods) or your alignment was just not done properly.
ahardb0dy
You should try to pay closer attention to how your tires are wearing, they don't wear like that over night. At least if you have a bad alignment or worn parts and catch it quick enough you can rotate the front tires to the rear and they may straighten out. But as Adam said either the alignment is off or one of the other parts he listed is worn, best to jack up the front end one side at a time and see if there is any play. Nefarious
Check tie rods , center link, idler arm and balljoints for play, replace any loose components and then take it for a front end Alignment.
01silvapathy
Mine wore like that due to a blown strut
XPLORx4
Wear on the inner shoulder of the tire indicates either excessive negative camber (tires look this this from the front: /---\ ), toe out (tires look like this from the top down, \---/ ) due to improper alignment, or severely worn suspension components (tie rod ends, ball joint, bushings) which cause excessive toe-out while driving. Worn out struts will typically cause feathering, cupping, or other types of abnormal tire wear. If the tires aren't showing steel belts on the inner shoulder, rotate them to the rear immediately, go get an alignment (and have your suspension inspected for excessive wear), and you should be OK.
