Trogdor636
That looks like it broke? If it broke, is the hole that it goes into still nice or is it wallowed out? Is the cup the bushing fits into still in nice shape?
RedPath88
Moved your post into it's own thread. As for help, you might start here: http://www.nissanpat...t-rod-bushings/ Becoming a fairly common problem on WD21's as they age, mine has this same problem too. The bushing cups start breaking free of the frame and allowing the rod to move. The common fix is to weld a new cup in, when replacing the rods and bushings. Welding bearing race's in as new bushing cups is mentioned in the above linked thread.
Slartibartfast
That one looks seriously butchered. You may have to replace the rods as well as the bushings and cups.
Precise1
if I should be able to change it in my driveway with socket level mechanics. If the cups are relatively intact and the hole is not badly oversized, then it isn't hard to do other than breaking the bolts loose. You definitely have to replace the rod, it's supposed to be in one piece. If you need cups brazed on or rust damage repaired, you may just want to take it to a shop. It shouldn't be terribly expensive, it is more the equipment and experience, but you can't reliably tell without taking things apart. B
