There's a few of those kit cars built on 300ZXs chassis. I always noticed the totally stock doors... The Escort doors stick out like a sore thumb on that thing.

customer states he has a 2010 Altima and needs a rear sway bar.

me: Is it a sedan or coupe?

customer: um.....I dont know what that is.

me: Is it 4 door or 2 door?

customer: It is a 4 door.

me: Does it have a 4 cylinder or V6 engine?

customer: I dont know.

I do home repairs, renovations. etc every day people tell me they don't know where their attic hatch is or where their electical panel is. Sump pump? What's a shut off thingy? And that is their homes...the most expensive thing that will ever consume them. It doesn't surprise me when someone doesn't know the name of the squeeky thing up front of their "silver coloured" car.

40? I thought you just turned 99 1/2? And I hear standing on your head causes premature baldness.

It's not the head stands, and the hair is growing elsewhere.

Your thinking of B, and that's 9912 not 99 1/2

Watch out boy! :bwack:

No need, I still remember where that button is! ;)

EHEM!

Back to the parts counter...

No offense, but when I was at O'Reillys the other day, there were 6 people working and only one person seemed to know what they were doing and actually helping people. Had at least 10 people waiting and they called another person from the back to assist customers. It was quite funny. Oh, and they consistently bring us the wrong parts. Edited by 5523Pathfinder

I cant say anythung for the other stores but we tend to get good customer service reviews out here in warrenton oregon. Everyone ive talked to says that we are far better than autozone (right across the highway).

a friend of mine once applied for a job at Canadian Tire. the posting was for the warehouse. after the interview they said they'd love to hire him but the warehouse position was filled but that they had an opening in the auto parts department. he informed them that he knew absolutely nothing about cars.....they said thats ok it doesn't matter.

the view from behind the bike parts counter is sometimes dismal as well.

the amount of people who can't understand the difference between, tire, wheel, and rim is absolutely astonishing.

no one seems to understand what gears are for either.

i feel bad sometimes because i work the counter and don't know as much about cars as the other guys, but i'm learning about cars and where to find said parts. which is something.
