Kmk2zf Posted June 17, 2011 Share Posted June 17, 2011 If it starts when the terminal clamps are connected to the booster cables and the cables are not connected to another battery, this would indicate that it is a connection problem and not a battery problem. Try that cause that would be the easiest/cheapest test to determine if its the battery or the connection that is the problem. Just an idea. sewebster Posted June 18, 2011 Share Posted June 18, 2011 I would remove the battery from the vehicle, then hook up booster cables to the terminals and start it with a known good battery. If it starts, then remove the booster cables and put that battery in the truck and hook it up. If it doesn't start then you know it is the terminal connections.
