Terranovation
New engine fan has arrived, now just need a day off to put it in. Old one has cracks around the centre. After ten years of me driving it, it's held together pretty well.
Terranovation
New fan is now finally in. Discovered it's not possible to just remove the fan shroud to remove, you must get the radiator out to have more access. So what I thought was going to be an hour became 3 hours. Cleaned all the fins out with vacuum, cleaned a good deal of sand and dead insects that had found their way in there so the radiator should do it's job better now. Cleaned fan shroud with soapy water looks like brand new now. Tightened up the trans fluid lines going to the bottom tank, looked like they were seeping a tiny bit. adamzan
Not today but over the last week a fellow npora/cntc member came up and helped me put the engine back in my black 95SE. Low mileage JDM motor into a 5 speed west coast truck, yes please. Oh my god, it's in. Pathy party:

k9sar
welded the heat shield back on my cat convertor to get rid of the rattle. Tightened my alternator belt to get rid of the startup squeal. Sprayed lubricant all over every moving part of my front suspension trying to find out where the squeaking is coming from (sounds like an old tractor suspension bouncing through the field). No luck. Still squeaks on every bump.

SpecialWarr
I spent Saturday lying on the ground / getting up to get a tool or part out of the passenger seat / lying down again and installing the correct size transmission cooler lines into my new flexible copper line that is now my new transmission cooler.... located in FRONT of the radiator. I did this because the PO had used fuel hose at 3/8" which is retarded too big. So even after I fixed them last week they still spewed oil all over the parking lot. I bought a marine transmission case hand pump (which threads right onto the top of a 1 liter bottle) and filled the 5/16" copper tubing and the 5/16" transmission hose (if anyone needs some just PM me) before putting it on. It is VERY helpful to plug the ends before moving the thing around though * wipes oil off of his arm and hand * I've since driven about 100kms and no leaks, weeps or misting! YAY! Successful adventure!

I could use a pathy headlight with a working aim adjuster, or even just the adjuster lol. What kind of tranny did your 3 liter have behind it? 5 speed? Slartibartfast
Unbolted the rearmost exhaust hanger, jumped on the pipe a few times, put the hanger back together. No more exhaust rattle against the tow bar!
Terranovation
Installed my ebay impulse buy, mini digital voltmeter into the dash cluster, yes, behind the plastic window. Pulled the center trim out, connected the wires to back of the cig lighter socket so the volt meter only goes on when the ignition is on. Fed the wires down and then up to the steering column. Then removed the dash cluster and unclipped the plastic back part. Had to drill a hole in the base of the cluster to feed the two wires through to connect the digital meter. Stuck it down with double sided tape. Tested the meter before screwing everything back together. Carefully fed the excess wiring up under the cluster and taped it down. Looks great, like it was a factory optional extra or something.
Kingman
Installed some Rugged Ridge manual hubs on the '04. Seems to cruise a lot easier. I shook the front end down and found some play in the LH ball joint. Also found the source of a squawk in the rear end on take off. Torn RH upper trailing arm bushing. Typical. I was going to do some new rack bushings but no sense in that yet when the oil cooler is leaking.

flnl
Took it to a winch test. It seems not the case to be stuck there, but all that green is floating over one feet of water, and there's some mud also.

Terranovation
Oil change yesterday, never buying the cheaper brand of oil filter again! Although it was $3 cheaper and had a nice glossy black color, that glossy black made it a biarch to get a grip on to install, had to use a pair of garden gloves just to get it spinnin on there. Terranovation
Thought I'd get upside down on my drivers side floor and look at the wiring just for the fun of it. Saw an interesting little fuse box and poked at it with my finger, the damn thing just fell down hanging by it's wiring! There was a tiny zip tie half around it that wasn't done up properly so I secured it with a satisfying zzzip! Tried the key just to make sure everything was still good and no probs. cntryboy_88
204,000 miles on my 98 pathy aka Betsy...pulled both fuel lines due to a leak from rusted lines also pulled the evap lines that were rusted out...SES light has been on for the last year b/c so when I pulled the evap line it was completely clogged with charcoal and I ended up breaking almost every bolt trying to take it all off! Fun day and now my house smells like gas
