FINALLY!!! Managed to get some serious work done on my custom low profile winch bumper!! Happy will the result. Now I have to bend some tubes for the corners and finish the front skid plate AND paint it! (And fix my very messy wiring haha) d92e969e6a5396bc7f73de11a19c355c.jpg7e6fbc8a79976dce3f498e28d2c82c0a.jpg9fc9df0198fe5e76591cafb37e65f301.jpg19b0c822b9977a2b818517e4f813e657.jpg

Bought a new (old stock) factory transmission on eBay... it is from a 2001-2002 Pathfinder and I am putting it in a 1994 SE 4x4.Will this fit?  Picked it up for $850 + $200 shipping.  It’s the HD version for VQ35 pathfinder. I think I might have to swap bell housings with original transmission.  Wonder if torque converter will work.

It might not work. It’s the 01-04 Xterra trans you need.

Best I can tell they are identical except for gear ratios.  I think the pathfinder version is closer to WD21 1st gear ratio than xterra.  Both the xterra and vq pathfinder use same torque converter.   I have seen where VQ was swapped into a D22 with VG33.

Now don't take this in a negative way regarding the choice you made as I sincerely hope it works well for you.

But, for me personally, I'm not only done with, I've simply had it with Pioneer! When the news broke that they were facing bankruptcy I was actually happy about it because they ultimately did it to themselves by overpricing and under supporting their products. Unfortunately iirc I believe I read that someone had invested in them, which saved... or at least extended a life line to.... that piss-poor company.

Full disclosure, I used to be a fan. Several years ago I bought a Pioneer deck for my car but they are absolutely horrible at supporting their products. "If" they even release updates to fix problems that should never have been on a released unit they only do so for a year, maybe two if you're lucky. And then you have a crappy headunit thats full of problems which  you likely paid way too much for and they refuse to fix. Their answer is to sell you a new overpriced deck, the starting the cycle all over again.

So for me, when this one that I have in the car gives up I will buy a new deck, but it will not be a Pioneer.

I made a barter to obtain it by some parts of an ATV with a friend, I did not know the situation of the company, but for what I use it the truth I am quite happy

Installed a fire extinguisher and cleaned out my drain holes. The passenger front was really really bad I started getting some leakage above the passenger side door on the headliner. Problem solved.74dc9ccde5162c28aba363596051bc77.jpg2f1f8fbdf63c1b34cc7b20d91d92e7da.jpgad6a434fce10e56edcd3e3eca31db70e.jpg

Adding a fire extinguisher is an imprtamt thing that a lot of people forget.  I'm glad I finally added one myself.  Hope you never need to use yours!

I agree man you don't ever know. I don't want to be the one that stands aside while my vehicle burns up. Things happen especially when do the do the work yourself. I'm not saying I don't know how to do the electrical work but I have done all the electrical work as far as all the add-ons and stuff and I am human so it's possible that I can screw something up. I want to make sure that if something like that ever was to happen I've got something to take care of it.

New rear wiper

Installed a new CB.  Out went the old trusty Cobra 25 LTD Classic, in went a new Uniden Bearcat 980 SSB. Unfortunately I also discovered that I have an antenna problem, extremely high SWR levels, something that I had not noticed before swapping radios.

But, troubleshooting and correcting that will be for another weekend.

Installing a bigger gauge package and getting rid of the smaller ones. I've already had to do a little bit of cutting on my bracket that goes to the radio but I think I'm going to make it work. a5a1afe3bed049451cb7b31719762080.jpg

While I’ve never needed one for a vehicle, I’ve used them on fires I’ve run across at least 3-4 times. That & water of course. Honestly, it’s sobering that I’ve come upon fires that just got started that often. Culprits: vehicle exhaust on dry brush, trailer chains & poorly extinguished fire rings.

The seats in my 97 QX4 leather of course are not in the best of shape. The driver seat 45% is by far the worst, passenger 75% back seats 85%. Had some extra cloth seats that I got out of a 2001 Pathfinder taking up space so I refurbished them and I'm going to put them in my QX4. I will be getting rid of the heated seats. As some of you know the heated seats in these old R50s don't work quite well I don't use them much anyway. 64af881d5a74c42f1b50ef21327c3ef8.jpg92d6ecc2c1ba293cc2c4b6a452ff0f44.jpgafda0f1852de6e6c291493aa55f40d13.jpg96a370ce5550d0dc142e045701b38614.jpg5f839c7c396be28b2a2122d990bf7aa2.jpg9a6d003df6b5940dbe9876289fe853de.jpg6f8c60e25fdb1150c54ad165d7d4f2c8.jpg5864f732078aef45b05a87d2d10bfc9f.jpg9ed2c63aa10754fc10e698c155ab37f7.jpg
