Finally another Queenslander! Be sure to post some pics when you can :aok:.

I won't be out to play anytime soon, doing an engine rebuild shortly but here is a pic:

Will do a rides thread in the next few days.

I purchased the car off my dad who owns a tow truck business, he picked it up from my uncle who had hit a water hole too quick and it (the engine) sucked in water. It still ran but rattled it's ass off (obvious bent rod), the starter was buggered and I have already had it out and cleaned it up but it needs an overhaul so I can't fire it up.

Luckily I used to work at a workshop that specialised in z32's so the vg30 is a walk in the park and I still can get my hands on several spares.

Is yours a 4 door? how do you decipher the R3m codes?

Mines a 2 door just like yours. R3m codes? do you mean fault codes for the terrano R3m if so then its the same for all terrano/pathfinder wd21s. You can do so by going here

The r3m is basically a wd21 (87-95) pathfinder with most of the options that were available plus some more and the r3m-r is a r50 (96-04) pathfinder with most of the options that were available plus some more. There is also a terrano a2m which has the td27 turbo motor and a terrano r2m that has the td27t motor. As far as i know all r3m terranos have the vg30 engine.

Ah cheers, everywhere I searched I couldn't find that, a mate did tell me that the r3m was the petrol and the r2m was the diesel but mine has had the stickers removed so I wanted to know more.

Hey aussies. In Melbourne and just putting a shout out for another pathy but looking for an auto. Looking up to 2g with rego if possible even if it needs a bit of work. If not a pathy / terrano a small car. Just need to get kid to school each day

Hey all,

Living in Alice Springs here at present, though I'm originally from the very bottom of the Hunter Valley (50 km south of Cessnock). I spent 10 years off overseas - did some great 4WDing overseas too.

I've had my Pathfinder for just over 3 and a quarter years.

If there is anyone here who's even remotely close to Alice Springs get in contact (wasn't going to read through 92 pages in this thread to find out!).. would love to go out and do some exploring with a convoy of Pathfinders!!! And if anyone is driving out to the Red Centre to do some tourism things give me a shout and I'll give you the low down.. and perhaps we can meet up for some exploring.

I've got land over near Grafton so hoping to find work there this year and move back east. I'm a little over the desert now, I long for big trees and hills and stuff.

Cheers,

Sim
