My truck is completly stock (for now) i have no real goals for her i just need to

$350 for Calmini A-arms, $200 for new torsion bars, $130 for new rear coils [or cheaper for JGC springs], $160 for new shocks, and maybe like $70 for an alignment. =)

If you think your stock parts are shot, and REALLY don't want to lift it, then just replace them with new stock parts, there aren't any super-cool aftermarket replacements that retain stock height. Anyone else want to chime in on this? ;)

Hi and welcome to the board.

I think we need more details. What are you experiencing to conclude you need 'suspension work'? Rough ride, weird road handling, etc.?

You can check the following to narrow down a few things:

1. Shocks -do they need replacing?

2. Torsion bars - are both or one sagging? Perhaps they need to be reindexed.

3. Rear coil springs. These tend to sag, tell tale sign is when you have rear passengers and you are bottoming out when going over bumps.

4. Rear control arm bushings...any swaying going on?

i was thinkng about tossing on some KYB's all around

do they work well with these rides??

2. Torsion bars - are both or one sagging? Perhaps they need to be reindexed.

I'll check them out this weekend

3. Rear coil springs. These tend to sag, tell tale sign is when you have rear passengers and you are bottoming out when going over bumps.

Haven't noticed any real bottoming out it's just a really really rough ride

and when i hit any bumps she's just all over the place

4. Rear control arm bushings...any swaying going on?

As stated above she's pretty much all over the place even on smoth stright

roads

Now as of this morning my starter went out on me so she is in the shop

i asked my friend to take a good look at her and give me a list everything

that needs to be replaced / repaired but knowing this cat he'll just trun around

and say that everything is fine.....

he's that old school type that only fixes what's broken.......

Start with the shocks, I had some kyb gr-2 shocks for a while, nice ride from some cheap shocks.

If it still feels loose replace your bushings, the control arm bushings front and rear, maybe your sway bar bushings, tension rod bushings. That should tighen up the ride a lot.
