improving torque from the mighty z24?

gday all

as the topic suggests

am wanting more torque from the motor but want to keep the duel fuel system

any thoughts on how to go about it

without goin VG30

i will sumtime later down the track though

 

it had some issues driving up the hill even when i ran the petrol

stressed out the lil motor

first of all the vg isnt that much better than a z. if your were ever going to do a swap you would do it with something worthwhile.

 

now to your problem, youve mentioned a hill and dramas when running on petrol, did it stall? but yet it would do it on gas?

 

that to me signals carby that needs some attention, - the float may not be doing what its supposed to do.

hey sw it didnt have any fueling dramas

it had heat issues

trying to make it up a hill

if i had tried it on gas i highly doubt it would have made it up ther at all

 

is there a data sheet with all the specs on either motor

z24 and vg30

wat direct engine replacement would you go

no such thing as a direct replacement - other than the original z24

ive put a holden 3.8L v6 in my d21, goes great. but everything is custom fit.

hmmm i wouldnt always assume gas would be a no go-er

next time give it a try and see if its any different at all, it may highlite a problem.
