Suspesion Switch?

Recommended Posts

It's the electronic adjustable shocks switch, you can set them to sport (firm), or comfort/touring (soft).

It's an optional, part of the Sport Package or something like that.

ive got one, and its been not working or it works and I cant tell the difference for a long time.

Like flnl said, check the top of your shocks and see if they are plugged in, or if they even have wires coming out....they work when new but the shocks cost too much for me.

Holy, am I the only one who had working adjustable shocks?

Mine used to work when I bought the Path, although not as good as a new one. But now, more than 3 years and almost 40k miles later, I almost can't tell the difference in the front shocks, and the rear ones are really shot.

my switch didnt work either so i took it out went to a junk yard and got a plug for it

later i switched shocks out and covered the plugs with caps that fit it from me job

Mine worked up until the Rancho RS-9000's went in a couple months ago, could definately tell the difference between the 2 settings at highway speed.

use touring in cold weather to soften the ride

because the cold air stiffins the shock absorber

movement and sport in summer to stiffen the

ride because hot weather increases absorber

movement.

i can usualy tell the difference :tonguefinger:

if you turn key to on and select sport or touring

you can hear it click both ways. i think it either

adds or removes air to the absorber to stiffin or

soften the ride, or absorber movement. :lmao:

No, it doesn't add or remove air. The Nissan factory adjustable shocks have a little motor or solenoid inside that changes the valving based on the position of the selector switch.

ok, sorry i wasnt sure. yeah the valve selects increased or

decreased fluid movement within the absorber which gives

you 2 shocks in 1 :tonguefinger:

Sport=less fluid flow=stiffer ride

Touring=more fluid flow=softer ride.

something like that :shiftyeyes: :shiftyeyes:
