Zuni
Three years now in Peru and its great 4x4ing...Big problem though. I have a 96 and have just changed the transmission and rear pinion. When I drive for at least one hour I get a horrible grinding sound in the rear only when I am going up hill under power turning to the right. Once the grinding starts it continues every time I make a tight turn. Please help them mechanics here are butchers..
88pathoffroad
I would have whoever replaced your pinion take another look at it. The spider gears may be screwed up somehow, that's all I can think of that would make noise when turning.
