TrailChaser
I just changed the plugs over the weekend. I was really worried about #6 after reading all the drama, but it came out and the new one went in with no problems... The plug wires were my downfall. They where a pain to get off and just as much of a pain to snap back on. I just used the short nissan sp tool for #6. The tool has to be angled toward the front of the truck a few degs. With the plug unscrewed all the way I still had about a 1/4 inch of clearance from the firewall. If you look thru the 2nd to last hole (with a flashlight) in the TB you can just barely see the tip top of the infamous #6 plug. Oh, and I used the long sp tool for all the other plugs. They were NGK plugs that I pulled out so at least I know one of the previous owners had some brains, even if they were put in way tooo tight. Just remember that anti-seize is cheaper than Heli-coils. MidTex01GT
Well do I have this beloved spark plug tool in the vehicle somewhere? Sorry for the ignorance, I just saw that air cleaner and instantly thought Carbourated.
Simon
Well do I have this beloved spark plug tool in the vehicle somewhere? If you do have it, it's usually in a black bag, under the rear seat cushions.
