Ok, y'all...we're going to be running Battleaxe down to the Coke Ovens tomorrow, Sunday 11/5.

It's a pretty easy route, and paint scratching will be minimal. Depending on when we get to the Coke Ovens, and the capability of the vehicles that show up, we'll either run Battleaxe back out, or run up the Coke Ovens trail and out through Box Canyon. The Coke Ovens trail is a difficult trail and a stock vehicle without lockers may have issues.

Meet at the Circle K in Superior at 10AM.

Edit: Just realized that some of you may not know where the Circle K is in superior...or where Superior is...Superior is East of Phoenix on US-60, about 15-20 miles past Florence Junction. The Circle K is right on US-60 in Superior before you get to 177.

Nevermind...it's going to be Montana Mountain instead of the Coke Ovens, because the coke ovens is through state trust land, and nobody else has permits...

We'll run Montana Mountian instead. Meet at the gas station at Florence Junction.

Nope. There's a slot canyon that runs through the big rocky buttes over Superior which is the Box Canyon trail.

We ended up running Montana Mountain today. The books rated it as a "Light Moderate" trail. Personally, I would've put it as easy with some optional moderate parts. There was this awesome offshoot that I would rate as a Light Difficult, about a 6.5-7 on a scale of 1-10.

All in all a fun day.
