  1. Hey guys, complete newbie to forum here... but just got my 2002 QX4 lifted and put some 265/70/17 (31.6”x17) rims and tires on her and had a few questions about how to get a bit more clearance/ reduce rub. Researched it a bit and ended up ordering the 2” strut lift by sf creation. Parts came and looked good put them in and definitely lifted it 2” as they said. Got the 31.6” tires on it (bfg ko2’s on American racing baja wheels) sucks the photos won’t allow me to post my pictures... anyways, I’m getting a lot of rub on rears when I articulate even a little bit. A guy at shop said to get longer sway bar end links which I’m probably going to do. Also camber bolts? Same guy said not to worry about them for the 2” strut lift only. What else can I do to get a bit more room in back? Or should I just do the 1” spacers and get new suspension all around?
  2. I plan on lifting my 2001 Qx4 but i cannot find anything more than 2.5'' in the front and 3'' in the back. Does anybody have any solutions to this? I thought about ordering two sets of the strut spacers and just stacking to desired height but wasn't sure if that was the safest route to go. Not sure about doing an SFD, still researching those. primarily looking for a suspension or body lift. If anyone has any ideas or alternatives please let me know! Thanks!
  3. Anybody seen one of these in the wild? https://telawei.en.made-in-china.com/product/HsUEGnYumkVJ/China-Snorkel-for-Nissan-Navara-D22-Terrano-2-Pathfinder-R50.html - $40 a piece 10 piece minimum order https://telawei.en.made-in-china.com/product/DNREMJpbJkcU/China-Telawei-Snorkel-for-Nissan-Navara-D22-Frontier.html or these might be a bit better. Not sure about fittment and quality etc. but they are cheap enough if a few of us wanted to go in and get a minimum order, we could save some money if they work out. Thoughts?
  4. Hey guys, been a while since I posted my derpy Tiger but there's been a good bit of work done since my last post! ANYWAY the main purpose to this topic is that my starter got worse than it usually is. I've been real lucky with it starting 90% of the time first try but now all I hear is the solenoid clicking and I have to hit the key a bunch until it the starter finally goes ah im needed vroom and when it does start it does it effortlessly like normal so I think the starter is fine. I don't know where the neutral safety switch is but I imagine it's somewhere on the automatic trans and it got mud into the connector and it needs cleaning or maybe a sticky relay not doing it's job. And also my brakes have suffered a lot, I drove my truck to the West Virginia mountains on a 600 mile round trip and my brakes were already kind of soft but now that it's back home it's easy to hit the floor and even for me it's a little scary to drive more than 40mph (i'm usually the one to test drive death traps and rust buckets for everyone hehe ) I replaced both rear cylinders hoping that would help as the cylinders on there were extremely rusty, although they didn't leak so that was pretty cool. I've also bled each wheel and the LSV so much that I basically flushed all the fluid out, when I first bought the truck it looked pretty darn orange but now it's all clear. SO I'm pretty stumped on my brakes, since the truck is lifted now I'm playing with adjusting the LSV but I just want to have good brakes, my brother has a 2000 xterra and holy friggin cow that thing can stop on a needle from full speed. Starting to wonder if I can do some Frankensteining and put an xterra master cylinder on the truck. Also what do you guys think about replacing the LSV with a T joint? That I've looked up from Patrol guys doing that and they either get crucified for bringing the idea up or they praise it for bringing back their lost brake pedal height. Either way I'm ok with trying things on my truck and seeing what happens. All ideas are welcome and thanks for reading my mess hehe I'll take pics of whats happenin and some other goodies I got going on. Since the last update I've lifted the truck with front SFCreation spacers for a total 2" in the front and I got LRC springs in the rear, originally lifting 4" but I trimmed a coil and now it's 3" (I think I accidentally got the 9449 springs) and got 265/75r16 all terrains, still have yet to go on an off road trip in the day light for good pics but man this thing just glides through snow and mud when I went on a little night trip with some friends. Did a bunch of other work but I'll get around to typing and taking pics, I usually end up doing everything in the dark like a mad man but eh I get things done slowly but surely. I'll keep you guys updated on what happens

  6. Help! I'm trying to find aftermarket fender flares for my 1998 pathfinder and it seems no one makes any. The OEM fender flares are just too bulky in my opinion. Are there any universal ones I can buy online that will fit my pathfinder? I saw a picture on google of this guys pathfinder (Picture download below) with some nice flares and i would like to know where I could find them! Any help is appreciated, Thanks!!! download.jfif
  7. Hi I'm new to NPORA and semi new to Nissan. I got 2 pathys: one is a gray on black 99 r50 vg33 2x4 stock that I picked up randomly 5 years ago because I needed transportation and the other I just picked up a week ago because i fell in love with pathys and it brought back my dream of making a runner/crawler. It is a gray black on black 03 r50 vg35 4x4 stock also. I've always wanted to build a runner/crawler and I think that my 03 r50 will be it. I've tinkered with cars for more than 15 years so I know a good amount about working on them. I could be called a garage mechanic. I'm planning on making the 03 r50 a mild project but who knows it might become a wild project if I become even more in love with it. Any help along the way to my dream would be much appreciated. Oh and I'm in Northern California near Roseville and I would like to join any meets if there are any to share any ideas and info on these rings. My plans for this rig is: *Front winch bumper *Rear HD / more clearance bumper *Maybe 2-3" lift *Bigger tires 31s or 33s, whichever will fit better *Nice roof rack for cargo and maybe tent conversion *All around led lighting bars and pods *Interior ideas ( storage, led lighting and guage lighting) *******and probably other stuff along the way *Pics of my loves coming soon* P.S. sorry for the long intro, I'm just soo excited about finding this site.
  8. Anyone have any information on anything pertaining to long travel suspension for our trucks or is everything going to need to be custom?
  9. So I haven't seen much in the light of swapping in a Toyota 4.0L V8 1UZFE VVTI into our R50s and so I went ahead and did a metric fskcton of research about both the VQ35DE VVTI and the 1UZFE VVTI, to get dimensions and measurements for both engines and their mounting positions. This made the process way easier after finding and buying said Toyota engine locally for $200us and so far it looks like the motor mounts for the engine as almost identical and in the damn near same locations with the distance of both engines keeping the same space from the back of the engines to the firewall the same. But obviously the only way the v8 would fit without issue is to delete the clutch fan and installing dual electric fans on the radiator (which I wanted to do anyway) which isn't a big deal anyway BUT the two radiators are pretty different which is fine because A I could either adapter some coolant hoses or B find a radiator that would work with the space of the pathfinder radiator space (I haven't done much in the way of measurements or research on this) or C have a custom built aluminum performance radiator (too expensive probably) which would be nice but ideally not what I'd want to do since my truck build is budget minded for the most part. Another nice thing is that XAT makes a bell housing adapter plate to run the SR/KA 5 speed transmissions but I have also found out the the older KA24E 5 speed 4x4 transmissions might work perfectly with their adapters but I don't know what the towing capability would be with those transmissions (since I do tow with this truck) as I can't find any info on that. So my first question is for you manual transmission off roaders out there is, how is it out on the trails with a manual trans, because mine is an auto and so far I love it for off road but this 4 speed trans isn't great for highway driving because it just drags down the fuel economy hence the idea/plan for the manual/engine swap.
