  1. I've got 9 lights placed all over my car. One pair of Hella Rallye 4000, a pair of Hella 500's, a Hella dual beam flood on both sides and the rear, and a pair of KC daylighters on my brushguard. All of the Hellas are attatched to a Yakima loadwarrior. I didn't use the yakima light mounts simply because if your lights are fairly large like mine, they stick up waaay to high, and its easy to snag them on tree branches or whatnot. They work fine for slim lights, but my 4000s are 9" tall, so they dont work well there. So I just went to home depot and got some strips of metal and some bolts and made some mounts that simply clamp to the roof rack. I can go into detail if you need me to on how to make them. 2. Here's a pic of my pathy on 32" Firestone M/T's. It'll look a little lower than yours would, since I have 2" spacers instead of the A/C lift.
  3. I'm running 32's on my 2001. I didn't buy new wheels, but I did have to put 1/2" wheel spacers on the front. So, whatever is 1/2" difference or more in backspacing should do you right.
  4. Yeah, they are held in by little plastic fastener-type things. I'm really not sure what they're called, but whatever they are, they connect through holes in the side of the car and by a few screws in the fenderwell. This isn't to say that it can't be modified to fit, tho. It probably wouldn't be too big of a job to fit them some other way.
  5. Mines inside of the bumper, right in front of the wheel well.
  6. Here's what I'm savin for! touch screen control, direct link with the ipod, and you can grab one for under 900 bucks now!
  7. I just went through the same situation that you're in, and I ended up going with the firestone destination m/t. Performs very well in wet and dry areas, wears well (for an m/t at least), also they're the quietest m/t I've ever heard. Another great thing about this tire is the sidewall lugs. Not many other m/t's have such an aggressive sidewall. The goodyear mt/r is also a great tire. But if you're going to be in mud, look the other direction. It's an absolutely great tire for rock, but will pack up very quickly in mud.
  8. Ok, so I was out wheelin today, and decided to try this big sloshy mud put. So I hit it with some speed, kept a high RPM all the way through it, so naturally I was splashing up a lot of mud. I made it through, but immediately afterward, the engine cut off. So I tried cranking it again. It cranked, but the RPM's dropped and the car stalled within about 5 seconds. So we kept trying for 15 minutes, and then decided to just let it rest. About 45 minutes later, we cranked it up again, and it stayed cranked. Although it would crank, every 30 seconds or so, the RPMs would drop sharply, and then come right back up. Also, if I rev it up, once I get near 2500 RPMs, the car begins to lurch, and the revs go up and down very fast. I was hoping that it just needed to dry out, but after driving home 20 minutes from the trail head, it was still doing the same thing. And I got home over 4 hours ago, and it is still doing the exact same thing! Any ideas on what this could be? Fixes? It sounded like a distributor problem, but I didn't think this engine had a distributor. At least I couldn't find one under the hood. Also, I had taken off the factory splash guard, if that helps. But when I looked under the hood, the engine didn't appear to be very wet or muddy at all. Oh, and we had a video rolling during the time of the incident, so if it would help to see it, I could probably email it to you. Thanks for your help.
  9. Out of curiosity, what kind of problems did you run into? What made it PITA? I'm looking at my suspension and it doesn't seem too hard. Mine is an 01. well, first of all, the back was easy. Took no time at all. The front however, was not fun. To get the spacers on the top, you had to compress the springs to a dangerous level. Even after that, it was extremely hard to fit the strut back onto the car with the added two inches on it. I would STRONGLY recommend that you pay someone else to do it. Not worth the risk of damaging the car, or more importantly yourself in the process.
  10. Looks like fun! I wish I could get that many Nissans to go wheelin with me... All we have down here are jeeps.
  11. The back should be no trouble. But I'd get someone else to do the front. You'll save yourself a lot of time and trouble.
  12. Well, I wish I could give ya a better answer. But I found em in a for-sale ad on this board. Nick1716 was the guy that I got em from, maybe he could give you some more info on where to get some.
  13. Hey, thats pretty slick! Thanks for the tip
