  1. It really sounds like a grounding problem to me. You are using the "chassis" for your ground correct? Is the stereo new or used? Are you connecting it to amps? Are you sure the "power antenna wire" isn't grounding out? Just things to possibly look at. Bailey.
  2. Be sure the stereo cage is grounded and the antenna is plugged in all the way. I would also be sure the stereo harness is plugged in all the way. Bailey
  3. It really sounds like wheel bearings to me. And yes, your toe being that far out could cause early failure. And rocks will "squeel" when caught in the dust shields if they can touch the rotor. Bailey.
  4. THANKS!!!! I knew I put it together wrong. Now to tear it back apart and redo it. Bailey
  5. Thanks guys. But I need to know where the secondary washer goes at the HB. Sorry for not being more specific. Thanks again, Bailey.
  6. First let me start by saying thank you all for a great sight. I just did a TB and WP replacement on my 88SE. But I think I might have put the covers on wrong. If someone might have a detailed picture of how they go, it would be very helpful. Thank you, Bailey.
  7. My front end actually turned out better than what I started with. I'm actually in alignment now.LOL All I can suggest is that you take your time. Getting in a hurry will make it that much harder. I took my time and kept everything right in front of me. Just be sure what ever you do to one side, you do the exact same to the other, Bailey.
  8. Just thought I better introduce myself. Me and my wife recently purchased an 88XE with just over 165000 original miles. Since the purchase, I have re-indexed the TB's and replaced the Tension Rod Bushings. And she now rolls on 31x10.5-15's. I was worried at first about the front end being out-of-wack, but am pleased to report it is actually better than when we got it. I am very happy to have found this sight. You guys are definately top notch. Maybe I'll be able to add some of my knowledge before long. Thanks, Bailey.
