Whats your vehicle mileage? Check your air filter too. It could be a clogged catalytic converter. Is the cat rattling?

You're up north. I'm down south living in like 95% humidity and 100 degree summers

AC stays ice cold in the summer at idle in stop and go traffic.

Interesting indeed. Glad it's working!

Welcome!

So installed the oil pressure gauge a week or so ago and have low oil pressure. Decided to drop the pan to inspect the bearings. Bearings show oil starvation and I have a good amount of metal shavings in the bottom of the pan. I posted more photos in my ride thread. I do not really want to rebuild it again so I'm going to see if I can salvage the crank and engine.

Transmission kept going into limp mode and I was getting a code for VSS. Took one off a 94 4x4 and never got the code. I am not sure if it was the culprit but it hasn't came back. I still have a new TPS just in case.

I replaced my revolution sensor and my issues never came back. It is sometimes mistaken for speed sensor.

No air or vacuum leaks? My first guess was the Maf. What maf did you get? Can you get the readings for the Maf and verify voltage or resistance? Cleaned the maf?

Best place to purchase hose replacements?
Cuong Nguyen replied to SquadCarPathfinder's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Your local auto parts store or rockauto. Odd hoses you can go to the auto parts store and dig around and see if you can find something close enough. Or go OEM route at courtesy parts or Nissan parts deal online -
Lockers only cause stress in the driveline if you're driving wreckless. Lockers give you more traction control so you do not have to use the skinny pedal. Yes, if you're at full lock bouncing. Then comes steering--tie rod ends.

So this is an alternative to prevent melting to overheating the traditional h4 female plugs?

What did you do to your Pathfinder today?

Ordered a new oil pump and pan gaskets. I'm hoping it's the pump. I'm going to price out new bearings as well to see just in case. -

Set the steering wheel straight. Get a yard stick or something long and straight and tape it to the side wall of a tire. Tie some makeshift plumbs to the end. Mark the ground. Tape measure and extend the points on the rear tires all the way past the front tires. You can figure out the rest lol. That's one way of doing it. -
Compression test is a start. Your catch can should not vent. You need vacuum to pull the oily mist out of the top end. It being full of water is because it's vented.

The tachs had issues. Hit or miss. My old one would work from time to time and would bounce all over the place until I got a new one.

Spliced in? Doesn't sound right. It's plug and play

Oil change. Realized I need more oil. Short a quart and a quarter. Hoping it bumps up oil pressure. -
Building an engine for the Turbocharged Pathfinder

What were your main bearing clearances? Did you check your oil pump too? Also you are using a turbo oil pump? -
Catalytic Converter Too Lean..
Cuong Nguyen replied to onespiritbrain's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
The maf is a heated wire. More air flow cools the wire and tells the computer to spew more fuel. Less airflow less gas. -
Clean it up and drive it some more and see. Oil gets trapped around the starter and slowly creeps down.

Exhaust system replacement questions
Cuong Nguyen replied to HastingsIV's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
You could always hold out and wait for the perfect 4x4 to buy. Or buy some pacesetter headers and mod those. -
