  1. Oil filter relocation kit installed, finally put my triple gauge pillar in along with the oil pressure, water and trans temp gauges...Looks halfway decent except for the dang gaps...but it is what it is!
  2. Yea yea....Bernard and his never ending wisdom. (I shoulda suggested that stuff!) hahahaha
  3. Well I guess that makes PERFECT SENSE now. Haha...
  4. Yessir you can handle it! Just take your time! It really is not that difficult, simply time consuming!
  5. That makes way more sense...sorry for the confusion!
  6. Pulled it forward in the drive way...then went to work.
  7. That rattle is terrible...I repaired mine as well, but it involved drilling out the original (worn out) pins and replacing with new. Now it would be much better to do what you did...easier to work on, and parts are available...(had to wait quite some time for the factory pins.) Rob probably coulda got em for me faster haha.
  8. Dang man I am proud of ya miggin' with no gloves! Looks awesome!
  9. It is possible that it is running just as intended. Unfortunately these things were underpowered from the factory... And yes...the slant six was a solid motor... Then again so was the 300 inline Ford had...
  10. The second line? I am sort of confused what you were sayin bra...
  11. Come to think of it...the glasspack may not present enough exhaust back pressure... But then again if you have both cats still in place it should create some...
  12. I actually washed it today...and ordered a NPT to BSPT adapter...then laid out the oil filter relo kit and pondered doing the install...
  13. I am due to do a timing belt...so....
  14. I just re read the OP... Timing is a huge thought...one that OF COURSE Precise would mention... But... Definitely scavenge a 463 set of gears or even a 490 set from an X. I have 463 gears in my 95 WD21 and 35's, it does great. Small loss in power but it is hardly noticeable.
  15. Geez why didnt I think of that! Haha, Kingman is right...you may wanna read the FSM section regarding checking stored engine codes which may shed some light on the issue as well... I know that the first time my O2 sensor went out it did not throw the CEL on the dash...but due to the terrible fuel mileage and poor running conditions I opted to check the codes and there it was... Replaced and I am back up to the 153 HP that I am so fond of lol
  16. Yep, I agree with Slart. Seafoam through the throttle body...as well as the upper intake via brake booster...then watch the cloud of smoke!
  17. Yessir you are correct on both aspects. The threads are different, 1/8 NPT on the Autometer sending unit and 1/8 BSPT on the block.... difference in 1/27 and 1/28 pitch. And I did find that thread in reference to the adapter...but of course nobody around these parts has one, so its time to order one!
  18. I keep telling myself I need to video it and put it on youtube...
  19. I concur...completely. It makes no sense to delete the gauge and add a light that NEVER comes on...
  20. Yes, I thought so too...but it only happened AFTER I went crazy with my torsion bars. I cranked em up and started having issues, now they are slightly higher than stock and hadnt had an issue since... And a screwdriver works too... So does the hand spin technique!
  21. I dig the ingenuity bra!! Looks good... Makes me want to put a second carrier on the driver side for other shenanigans...
  22. Okay, got mine installed...pictures soon...
  23. Yes, the problem I encountered on mine was the retaining bolts (tiny little guys that keep the lock ring in place) kept shearing. Last time I had to service my wheel bearings I replaced those guys... Had no issues since. Yes, it still gets loose but that is part of it....just not caused by the lock ring backing off...essentially just wear. I use a punch to tighten up mine, a tool could be made no problem like Kingman said, but a punch works great.
  24. Nice! And yes, the Taurus fan draws a crap ton of amperage on startup... Although I gotta say that it is pretty dang cool to set the assembly on the shop floor and hook some extended leads up to it, then touch to a hot battery and watch it "hover" around...haha
  25. Yes, I believe this to be the case...essentially when motor is running and you ground that wire the light on dash comes on. So out it goes!!!! Woo Hoo!
