  1. yeah, i'm kinda heart broken to see that "FOR SALE" on it. my 4x4 will be a nissan pathfinder... i mean nissan mudfinder II
  2. hey everyone, couple weeks, or about a month ago, i thought i busted my tranny. I was really bumped out and at the same time kinda glad because i wanted to make my 2wd into a 4by. i had been thinking that it's time that i get rid of her instead. i was going to fix the tranny and send her on her way. but only thing i was concered about was spending about another grand into the tranny, i didn't want to sell her like that, won't get what i'm asking for. later today, i decided i play with her a little bit. the problem i had, i thought it was the tranny, it wasn't! it had to do with the trottle body sensor? go figure. she's running like a champ again. she'll be going up for sale, i will really really miss her. she was like my highschool sweetheart. we did everything together. :sniff: i know i will regret selling her. i'm getting engaged and married soon, so i could use the money. and later on, i'll buy a 4x4 and play with that. i never thought i'd be getting rid of her. i just thought i'd let it out to people that understand what i'm going through. MUDFINDER...

    No reverse

ahhhh transmission failure...my first and second gears are shot and it's my second tranny in a few years. 2200 bucks seems a little too much for me to get it rebuilt. i'd rather get a new one for around the same price if not a little more.
  4. i remember steevo and i were talking about it once. i know he has a 2wd and wanted to convert his. did he convert his yet? my process is going to slow, on tues, i'm lifting my titan and in november i'm getting engaged. i'm going to take my time with it. i'll post pics up and let you guys know how the process is going.
  5. what's up guys, haven't been on here for a while. still have my mudfinder and she's still purring like a cat, well, sorta. two weeks ago, i blew my tranny, second time in two years, that's the bad news. good news is that i'll be replacing that tranny with a 4x4 tranny, and will be starting the 2wd into 4wd transition.
  6. i could use those liights under my truck as rock lights, but LED style. pretty interesting though, LED neon, huh...
  7. i used the link from the first post. is there any difference from the rest?
  8. we have this over at clubtitan.org. i've added me self there and of course here. here, i'm like the very few in so cal. at clubtitan, there is like hundreds of us in so cal.
  9. ebay, they have everything. if you have a welder or have access to one, weld the brackets together.
  10. i have a got mud? sticker on my path and my titan.
  11. funny, i said the same thing. when i saw it, i was like "a path with big tires".
  12. you should of had a snorkel. i'm sorry to hear about you loosing your path. but they atleast have you life. a vehicle can be replaced. stick with nissan. get and newer path or frontier. both came in 2nd place in car and driver test. frontier beat the taco TRD. and path beat the 4runner. you mentioned getting a rubicon. all you'll need to do is lift it and you're ready to rock. good luck with everything.
  13. anyone know where i can get a factory intake hose? or aftermarket or even something that i can make?
  14. my family and i have had our path since 1991. 14years and our gas light has never came on. on top of that, (knock on wood) my check engine light has been on for a couple of times, for stupid a reason.
  15. here's a link. it's at ROCKY-ROAD.COM it's $235. scroll down to NISSAN DIFFS. h233b. this is where i got mine from. greatest investment i've ever done to the path.

which side is the front diff pumpkin for out paths? driver side or passenger?
  18. a locker is one thing you can do, but i really don't think you can do much in real loose sand. maybe lower gears?? don't know if a locker would help much, but get a lock right, it's cheap, easy to install and works like a charm. oh yeah, do you air down? don't know if you do, but airing down does help alot. i acutally went 4wheelin yesterday to azusa canyon iin so. cal. lots of sand and mud. i was with my buddy's samuari. (i'm 2wd) we got in to some real loose sand. he doesn't have gears, but has a lincoln locker in the rear, didn't do much good. there was this toyota that had such low gears that he coudln't exceed 40mph. locked front and rear. couldn't do much in the sand either. soo... besides a locker and gears, don't know what to tell ya, invest in a dune buggy.
  19. i posted a tread a while ago thinking that my tranny was going out. here's the tread. anyway, i thought my tranny was bad because when ever i would punch it when i was completely stopped, or climbing hills, my truck would start hopping, with the RPM going up down up down. totall loss of power. i checked out the air intake tube, the tube that goes from the filter to the engine. i had four cracks in it, i taped it all up with duck take. now she hauls A$$!!. idles so much better, when i punch it from fully stopped, it tires acutally chirps. i'm so happy, i can play again. i could take my TITAN back now. why drive a titan when you got a pathfinder that runs good? -bounce- -bounce- -bounce- -bounce- -bounce- -bounce-
  20. I'm 2wd and take mine 2 wheelin'
  21. How many 2 wheel drive paths do we have here that take them 4 wheelin', i mean 2wheelin'?
  22. which sway bar are you talking about?, front or rear? i took my front off and did'n't notice a difference. front sway bar, you won't know the difference. rear, you'll notice it. when i installed my rear locker. i decided to keep the rear sway off. went around the block and immeditely put it back. when i made a left turn w/out the rear sway, my rear left tire went up in the air. i'm also lifted 3inch with 33's, maybe that has something to do with it. but i hear some guys here don't have their rear sway on and don't have problems, if you take it easy, you'll be fine. if you'r going to be dashing out of one lane to another, keep it on. take it off when you go wheelin'
