  1. So ive been looking, reading, searching, and exhausted now, but ive googled the Rancho 2-2.5" Lift and Superlift 2-2.5" lift and have came up with nothing? am i missing something? Im trying to gather prices and where to order so when i get to that point i can order. Im going to continue searching but hopefully i can be pointed in the right direction. Thanks in advance. Robert
  2. Haha, true but, I kinda want something to wrench on just not a rotted out project. On a side note, how hard would it to be to make the pathy 5 speed?
  3. I already have a 4x4 jeep grand cherokee with a v8 solid front axle, I'm just needing a truck plus the frame is pretty much gone on one side just odds an ends that I want a truck, it wouldn't be a new truck, I'm thinking late 60's to early 90's 4x4 pickup, solid front axle and v8 with a long bed, I like the pathy but partly is the frame is pretty gone on the rear, and I can't find a better rear half around my area... But if I keep it, do a small lift on it and make it a weekend only rig, kinda like my jeep is right now
  4. Okay, reporting back, it was the simplest issue ever as to why it wouldnt start... While it had sat up at my uncles house, i believe one of the relatives i have, well cousin, had cut the wires on the plug for the fuel pump, hince no fuel at motor, ran to part store got some butt splice connectors, and vualla, it runs, smokes a little, had little to no oil, put some 10w30 in it, and tappin noise went away, let it warm up, put it in drive and drove it around the junk yard runs pretty smooth, and the Alternator that caught fire still WORKS, unhooked battery box to move it and it kept running, so, its good to go, still thinking about selling it, for something different, i really need a truck So soon it might be on craigslist.com/indiana for sale or trade for a 4x4 truck
  5. okay thanks, ill download that also, in the AM im going to work on pathy to see if she runs again hopefully
  6. Okay, ill try that too possibly, ill report back later when i get to work and try to start it again. Thanks again for the info, much appreciated
  7. Okay, tomorrow, ill try a newer(better) battery, some new terminals for the wires, and ill check fuel and spark. When it was trying to turn over it was a real slow crank, like there wasnt enough juice for it, so that could be possible. Also what could be the cause of the fuel gauge sticking way below E? ill take picture tomorrow also of my confusion, i put little over 5 gallons in it..
  8. Okay, so my 95 pathfinder has sat for 2 years now, sadly its been my little project left behind. I borrowed a trailer this past weekend, and pulled it to my part time job at a jeep only junkyard(flame if you must) But i went to start my pathy today, put a battery in it, put some fresh gas, turn key, it was slow at first but slowly picked up as it tried to turn over... battery died, so i hooked up my jeep to it, set my programmer to idle at 1400rpm and let it charge a bit, tried again, the started moved quicker this time but still nothing. On the gauges on the pathy, my fuel gauge says its way below empty, i had put 5 gallons of gas in it. Is there something that could not be getting power to the fuel pump? or no spark? i havent touched this in a long time and have lost my touch... Prior to all this it had caught fire twice at the alternator ground wire? still havent figured that issue out, but right now, id like to get it running again. if i cant i must sell my project and move on to a new project.
  9. So, Decided since my pathy is down for the count, trans is messed up, going to do a minor resto on the whole thing 1.) Rebuild engine, and build for slight more power 2.) Have tranny rebuilt or purchase a used one and have bowler transmissions build it to be stronger 3.) Frame fix "rotted out" Three main things im going for right now, any input on the motor performance will be much obliged. Right now im looking at about 12week period to start and finish and will have about $4-6,000 to spend on everything. Not looking for sports car fast but something more than 153horse Even consider swap well please help as this will be photoed and documented through the whole build once started. and be fairly good looking rig once done Thanks. Robert
  10. Well, in my own little opion i shall ask what exact type of panasonic deck are you running, and we can go from there. Im very big into custom car audio, as i have a 99' gmc sonoma with almost 2400wats RMS which means and low-medium volumn its extremely loud. JVC Headunit 4" JL Audio Dash speakers 6.5" TMA Audio Door speakers Planet Audio Big Bang 4channel amp rated at 300RMS per channel Planet Audio Big Bang 2400.1 Mono block amp rated right now at about 1600-1700 watts rms at 2 0hms 3Farad Capacitor soon to be help by larger alternator and second battery So if your still trying to figure out your audio question(s) just pm or whatever you want im sure i can answer

    HELP!

Okay, so just ground the hell out of the engine block and everything else. With id say mayb some #6 welding wire from my dad's job, also now i need a shift cable because transmission decided not to come out of park and snapped the linkage at the shift arm. =/ would the fire possibly caused the transmision to lock up.. and i think when i get around to grounding everything ill put on jack stands and put in drive when i get fixed to see if it catches fire again instead of being away from where its parked.

    HELP!

Yeah, replaced wires from alternator to connectors. The positive side of alternator didnt receive the damage, it was the grounded that caught fire again. To take it to shop just to look at is $1,000 range and I dont have that type of money. Thanks for info so far
