  1. It means the transmission is gone. I had the same problem a couple months ago and had to get mine rebuilt.
  2. Thanks for the compliments. I agree with the crappy nissan steering. I just figured if I stayed with 31's it was a little less drag and weight for the steering. I know it will fail, maybe it will just take a little longer!!! Plus with the lift and rims I needed to save some money and the tire store had these 31's that fit in the back of their storage room, someone had not picked them up and I got them for $89 a tire! Casey, I used the CALMINI ones. I got the whole 3" kit. You can definitely tell the CALMINI ones are stiffer. I have had the lift on for about 6 months and the ride has softened a little, but it feels more like a truck
  3. I have a hard time looking at that pathfinder. I have seen some nice built sas rigs like mookie's, but that one is kind of like looking at somebodies face that has had to much cosmetic surgery. It may look good to them, but everybody else doesn't think its so great. :o I would put some bigger tires on it too because I doubt it is a daily driver.
  4. I have 31's and 3" suspension lift. I thought it would be easier on the steering with 31's and later if I get the CALMINI steering kit I can go up to 32's. I also like the look of the 31's with the lift.
  5. I bought this same kit that Mr. Pickles has. I too am lazy and have not installed lower BJ's and the tie rod ends. They are very good quality and if I remember right all of the parts have grease fittings.
  6. I installed that same kit on mine. For a complete kit with all you need included it's REAL GOOD! The stuff is heavy duty and goes together easily. I also had no problem getting it aligned the first time with new tires. The only complaint I have is the UCA bushings like to squeak, but I don't care. If you have the money for the kit buy it. If I had it to do over I wouldn't lift mine any other way!!!
  7. I would go down to the shop personally instead of calling and ask to see the progress of your vehicle. Then see what they do! They can't lie about what they have done then!
  8. I have to say I didn't hear any squeaks for a long time with my Calmini bushings, but now it's so loud when I turn and go over bumps it's almost embarassing! Earth 1 let me know about your results. I am probably going to install some zerks in mine so I can atleast grease them easier if I am going to have to do this all the time! :furious:
  9. Was it a public auction? I would love to get my hands on a military Humvee. What kind of shape is it in? I have heard that most of them that make it to auctions are pretty ragged out. It would be an awesome rebuild project.
  10. If you want a quality 3" lift kit for our trucks you can't beat the Calmini Kit. That's what I got and like it a lot. I put 31" MT's on mine and I can't believe the difference just putting MT tires on makes. For the tranny cooler search ebay. I got a brand new in the box Hayden 679 cooler that they had listed for a Ford F150 for $30. I don't think anyone knew they are universal coolers so know one else bid!
  11. I agree with 88. I put a Hayden 679 and a B&M filter kit inline with the factory cooleer and it lasted for about 6 months before my tranny was history. As soon as I got my truck back from the tranny shop I cut the factory cooler out all together. Now I just use the filter kit and the Hayden cooler. Don't trust that factory cooler!!
  12. I ran mine up the drivers side A pillar and under the plastic piece that runs above the doors then to the back hatch and through the rubber gromet that the third brake light wiring runs through then I mounted the antenna on the flat back part of the roof like DJ. I also did away with the cigarette lighter plug and hard wired it in. Nice and clean!
  13. Slick I was looking at that Viair you have that is nice and looks like it would work pretty well. I have one of the regular Campbell Hausfield portable tanks. If you fill it up to about 85 psi it will fill one tire before it equalizes. When you guys get your hardmounted ones installed post some pics. I haven't decided to hard mount one or keep one portable.
  14. That is nice, but the price is too. I was wanting something that is reliable, but not so expensive. I have heard some good things about these too. They aren't to expensive. I just want something to air up tires and not take all day. Viair Tornado III Vengeful, when you install yours take some pics. I would like to see where you mount it. I know I don't have much room under the hood.
  15. Here is a picture of one mounted. Here is a post on another one. They seem to like this model, I need a compressor and thought it might be a cool mod. Thanks for the ebay info Trailchaser I should have thought to try there first. Onboard Air
