welcome, i am also pondering a diesel wd21. I might go have a look at that one in burlington for kicks. If it's $8k, that's a bit too much for me, I really want a 94-95 SE with manual trans this time. There is a guy on the canadian nissan truck club board that is also fond of RHD imports. He's got a very nice 80 series land cruiser. i asked the aussie and kiwi guys about the pros and cons of a diesel. you can read about it here: My linkhttp://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=27233 feel free to add to the discussion. Those guys on the southern hemisphere are very helpful for tech and day to day feedback

Yup, a leaking hardline led me to replace the whole rear brake plumbing. Not fun when you have frozen flare nuts and cheap ........ p.a./harbor freight flare nut wrenches. The tolerances on cheap wrenches are horrible.

i also got the 5-piece s.s. braided line kit form 4x4parts.com. They are very good quality and have ample length on the front corners and rear center lines. The length of the rear corners don't make a difference. IIR you have to have some extra copper crush washers for them when installing.

Extending/relocating differential breather tube?
nige replied to fusion's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
i would put it up higher than the tail light. Mine and a lot of others have been submerged before. Run it all the way up the rear pillar to the headliner. You can guarantee you'll have a lot more than diff problems if you ever manage to get water in there. -
yes, get a lockright locker, you will like it on the trail

beastpath has done the swap. ask him

regarding the dash lights; whats the battery voltage when idling as well as >2k RPM? sometimes a failing alternator causes the dash to light up. there are lots of ways to "fix" an alternator if that is the problem
-
ah in that case, trade the pathfinder for a trailer
-
haha i said the something along the same line when i joined this forum

welcome, listen to pezzy, she knows when it's available, you should add a rear lockright locker between the skids and lift. They are great for running trails
-
give your cousin a collective smack on the back of the head from npora now that you can get it running, why sell it? is it not a 4x4 model? getting a utility trailer is cheaper than a new truck
-
i would get insulated coveralls. heat lamps work good to keep your hand tools warm
-
you should be able to hear the pump whirring for a few seconds after you turn the key to ACC or Start. try jumpstarting with the jeep and see if you can at least get it running. im not sure, but I think the truck will run without an alternator and good battery as long as you have the jumper cables hooked up with a working vehicle. My guess is you need a new battery and you should test that alternator. If it fried a ground wire, the voltage regulator might be gone, or it has a dead short in it somewhere.

lockright lockers work great lockers

sorry, i had to rewrite my response

negative backspace is the same as negative offset. The number denotes how far the mounting surface is from the center of the wheel

right on, i love black trucks in the snow

mmm paint doesn't stick to chrome very well. I would take them to get sandblasted, then prime and paint them.

i like the rancho 5112's. I have 5124's on the front to match. You gain a little more rear articulation with them and they provide a decent ride. I don;'t know if you had a 3" body lift, but if you do, you will have to figure out how to lower the parking brake anchors on the body so they don't stretch with your new found articulation. The factory adjustable shocks were charged with a metallic liquid that would get stiffer depending on how strong of an electric current that passes through it. At least that's how I think they worked.

those shows suck! I love Stacey David's Gearz. He used to host a couple shows on powerblock, but i am glad he has his own show on speed now. http://www.staceydavid.com/
