  1. they have been repairing some, and buying out the particularly bad ones. My parents have an 01 and hasn't shown any evidence of corrosion like that. Sucks it's happening, now you feel a little bit of the same disappointment WD21 owners do re: their frames.
  2. besides the premium gas, i would love a vq... as long as it has a manual tranny
  3. For toronto, you're better off getting a second set of winter tires and taking it easy on the icy roads. Studs would be expensive to remove and install, and Dowser is right, you can only use them north of sudbury AFAIK. I used bfg A/T's for the winter and they work pretty good. I saved the mud tires for the summer time. A true winter tire would work better but I got the BFG's so i could leave them on for longer to give the mud tires a break. I am gonna see if they will fit my frontier too since it has all(no)seasons right now.
  4. nice platter B! i like hot smoked salmon too. I still vividly remember drinking my first blue moon - thanks for introducing me to that And that Scrapple sounds like head cheese, minus the starch. Gelatine holds it in loaf-form lol. I've yet to develop a taste for that, but my dad eats it once in a while. I am becoming a big fan of live oysters too. I even got my own shucking knife This stout goes really well with them, but unless you come visit, you'll never know
  5. came in here for cat pics, left dissapointed
  6. holy @!*%, i can't believe we aren't npora friends yet

  7. I would have to say apple fritters from my local farmer's market. They are sliced apples dipped in batter, fried and then spronkled with crack/cinnamon-sugar. Next would be the summer sausage aka "meat in a bag" from the same market: http://www.kitchenkuttings.com/summersausage.php
  8. here's a good thread for tranny coolers http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=6486
  9. no, you don't need them, the pressure isn't that high. I bypassed my stock cooler a long time ago, and the truck has ~275k km on the original transmission with 2 fluid flushes. It still shifts as crisp as ever and is one of the things that still works relatively fine on my old truck. If you're gonna loop it with the factory cooler, why bother adding it in the first place if you're adamant about cleaning the factory unit? The heat kills the transmission and an large aftermarket unit on it's own will do a fine job of cooling if you put it up front so it gets the fresh air. The odd fluid inspection and change will keep the clogging problem at bay.
  10. Make sure they are actually connected too. There should be some wires coming out of the seat bottom. Sometimes they can get pulled apart or not plugged back in after removing the seats for cleaning.
  11. i would select "2" and turn on the power e-at switch when wheeling. When you have bigger (33") tires, I would leave the power e-at switch on constantly. It locks the T.C. and keeps the heat down, especially on the highway and long hill climbs. Do use your parking brake all the time and follow the parking procedure the other user posted earlier. Once you wear off your parking pawls (the part that holds the truck in park) that is pretty much it for the transmission and you will need to rely 100% on the parking brake to hold the truck on a grade.
  12. There are lots of places to get warn hubs, you should find them for between $150-200 for a brand new set. I leave mine locked all winter and unlocked when the snow is gone. I would inspect your auto hubs, it sounds like they are sticky and need a clean and re-lube. Probably nothing wrong with them other than that.
  13. That 360 degree nozzle they include looks perfect to coat the inside of the frame
  14. that's a fine mess of red tape there. it makes it seem even more trivial for me to be s.o.l. when i want a bottle of wine after 5 for sunday dinner. thanks ontario
  15. nice paint! but I think she needs a little more chrome

    Poor Mileage

Brakes aren't dragging are they? Could be toe-in or toe-out too, when was the last time you had an alignment check? Tire pressure?
  17. I think a lot of guys do it so Nissan won't deny warranty service if they happen to break their new trucks
  18. thanks, I will look a little closer toward the NW too! I think i'm only going to mildly fark with this pickup and do most of the trail running with the motorbike instead.
  19. bah, waited to long for that one, I think it's sold. I did call this guy, who is in western North Carolina. Just waiting for him to return my call http://asheville.craigslist.org/cto/2508162221.html
  20. Can one of you check out this hardbody for me? craigslist HB It's a little west of Atlanta. I can call him and set up a meeting time. It's just too far for me to come and see for myself.

  22. O2 sensor is pretty easy to get at, it's between your y-pipe and catalytic converter. You might have to soak it in penetrating oil for a couple days if it's seized in there good. After you check you MAF, if you still have the same problem, follow the wire from the O2 sensor all the way up under the hood. When you find the connector for it, try unplugging it and see if the truck runs better. If it does, chances are you need to test/clean/replace the sensor. Leaking exhaust between the engine and sensor will also cause it to run like crap.
  23. It's not so much the typing part as it is the screen hogging. Being able to only display 2 lines of text because the keyboard takes up 75% of the screen is what really bothered me. No wonder these phones need such a big screen I know it's only skype, but most of the things like emails, txt, IM, website forms and forums are affected by the lunker keyboard. On a side note, i did try the swipe typing on a co-workers galaxy, and I liked it better than the old tap-tap-tap of most other virtual keyboards out there.
