Thanks for the great info so far! I have a 1998 QX4, not sure why my profile says that...I'll take care of it. About the 4wd though, I do have the on-the-fly knob and 2 cupholders by the shifter. The only thing on the center console is the transfer case lever.
I wanted to get the hubs because I can feel the drag that the front axles are introducing. It'd be nice to cut back some of that and increase my gas mileage a couple mpg's. If that pump is meant to shift the truck into 4wd, would it really be that bad since I won't be using the 4wd knob anyways? The only time I'd even be using it was when the hubs are engaged already.
Funny you mention the seafoam too, I've been using that on the last 4 cars I've owned. It's been around for ages, just not many people know about it. I used that same hose you described too! I'll try the TB method as well, I just figured it would better to have the engine running so nothing pools up and possibly hydrolock the motor.
