  1. The fog light switch hasn't worked since I bought the truck so neither have the fog lights. I haven't troubleshooted deeply but wanted to see if there was anything obvious to look for?
  2. It's nearly perfect with the exception of a couple dings and little patina appearing on the top (but I do like the look of the patina). The entire car is a time capsule it had the factory floor mats and net for the trunk when I picked it up.
  3. Flushed my coolant system and cleaned the reservoir. Got the torsion bars adjusted so my ride height in the front is normal.
  4. Good info thanks - it's been popping up periodically and it seems to require a couple of more turns than before so I'm going to check the ignition switch this week before it turns into a bigger issue.
  5. Now that I've gone down a promising path on one of my intermittent issues I'd like to see if anyone might have any insight to this other one. I never have a problem starting my 95 Pathfinder when it's cold cold like has been sitting overnight or longer. Sometimes though, I'll take a trip and let the car hang out for anywhere from 5 minutes - 1 hour and when I get back in and turn the key, I get a no crank no start. All the other electronics work and come on and after 1-4 turns of the key it'll start right up. Just today I took a 160 mile day trip to see how my IAC and throttle body cleanup felt. I drove the first 85~ miles, parked and left the car for 5 minutes or so and when I came back it took 3 tries to start. I took 2 more stops on my way home and when I got back into the car those times it started right up each time. Maybe the starter switch is going bad?
  6. The MAF seems to be in good shape, I had the throttle body and IAC cleaned out and the issue hasn't resurfaced yet. I'm going to take a little round trip drive between Chicago - Milwaukee this weekend just to see how it does.
  7. Hey Aaron - we've talked a bit on instagram nice to see you here. I definitely paid a nostalgia premium for the car but I'm okay with it haha
  8. There's even still a little juice left in the heated seats. Not many records on the car but I had the timing belt changed about a month ago just to be sure.
  9. I bought the truck for about $8700 - honestly I have no idea what a fair market price would be but I had to have it.
  10. I've been hearing the idle air control valve come up a couple times while I've been troubleshooting - I will definitely give it a look tonight and see if I can get some carb cleaner in there. The MAF seems to be good, I checked that yesterday. Thanks for your input!
  11. Hey everyone, I'm a new member and I'm excited to be on the forums. I bought a '95 Pathfinder SE-V6 back in November - it's a 1 owner car with 62k miles and leather interior and I've loved owning it. A small couple of hiccups here and there so far mechanically but the body looks so good we're trying to get past those haha! You can see some pics here - and before anyone says anything the mismatched tires are gone and the missing lego wheel is in its place ?
  12. Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum but have lurked for answers for a while. This issue has happened to me twice so far that it left me stalled in the road and I'm not sure exactly how to pinpoint it. I bought a 95 Pathfinder with auto transmission in November and in January for seemingly no reason the RPMs seemed to drop really low after I had been running errands and left the car parked for a couple of minutes. This happened after the engine had been warm and driving for a while. When I was coming to a stop at a light, the car stalled. I was able to start it no problem but the car would keep stalling unless I kept the revs up. Luckily I was close to home and when I got there I checked the codes and none showed up. After I checked the codes the car seemed fine and drove fine for a week and I brought it in for an unrelated timing belt replacement. It's been a couple weeks since then and the car has been fine until yesterday which was the first day I had used the AC (maybe since the initial stall). The car sounded like having the AC on was using a lot of power: some RPM changes, at a stop it would kind of 'lurch' a little until finally the revs got pretty irregular and the car stalled again. Again, I could start it fine and I turned off the AC and drove home and by the time I got there it seemed to be totally fine. Today I tried to replicate the issue by just running the car in drive (but at a stop) for a while with the AC on. The car eventually started running odd and eventually the RPM irregularities returned. Not only that but the car took 2-3 times to start only when warm and I've been noticing a weird no-crank start on some trips lately but haven't been able to pinpoint a cause. A video of the irregular idle is here: https://streamable.com/sh1lh3 Anyway sorry for the wall of text but I want to take a long trip soon and don't want to worry about this weirdness. It sounds like a vacuum leak but could that be so intermittent? I've sprayed some carb cleaner on the lines earlier today and noticed some rev changes but can't be certain if they were accurate - when the engine warmed up I couldn't get the spray to change revs.
