  1. So the key fobs for my 1999.5 have started working very intermittently (more often not). I thought it was a battery issue, so swapped it out, but no dice. So I pulled out the spare and... same result! Even with fresh batteries. I bought TWO different sets of replacements on Amazon, but neither will program in. Ironically, when programming, the originals work every single time. I’m wondering if there’s a fuse or a relay I should be checking. Ideas?
  2. Awesome! I just picked up a That’s awesome! So awesomely clean @Wallywal! Totally jealous. I just picked up a ‘91 with 125k and thought that was low. Lucky duck!
  3. I just picked up a carrier from the scrap yard today. I lucked out because the R50 I got it from wasn’t on the yard manifest yet. This may be a dumb question, but is there a way to mount this to a wd21 or an R50 that doesn’t have the mounting holes already?
  4. I have a Nissan problem. Just picked up a 4x4 4banger 1991 WD21 (125k miles for $900) and a 4x4 XEv6 1993 D21 (175k miles for $1000)—I couldn’t choose, so got them both. Plus my 99.5 R50. My wife thinks I’m a lunatic. I picked up a LH passenger door glass at the wrecker today to fix a window in the ‘91 pathy. While I was there I found an ‘98 R50 with a rear tire gate, so picked that up (holy hell it was heavy!)—will I be able to mount that to my 91 or 99.5 somehow? Also, I need a driver door to replace a heavily dented driver door on my 91 pathy—will most wd21 or d21 doors fit, or only some years? thanks in advance. https://freeimage.host/i/3j2WkN https://freeimage.host/i/3j2XpI
  5. I've just ordered a couple of CV axles from RockAuto (GSP #NCV53128), @ $110 for the pair, shipped. We'll see how they do. I haven't replaced a CV axle in years, but this YouTube video seems to provide a pretty good overview of the process (if you watch it, let me know if there's anything you'd do differently):
  6. Certainly a lot of sweat equity into this beauty! There's no better feeling than being surrounded by the evidence of your own hard work! Thanks for sharing!
  7. Oh great! I’d only looked on the Warn website (rookie mistake). Worth double?
  8. Hello! I'm late to join, but I've had my 1999 (or 99.5... not sure) for over nine years. Bought it with 125k miles for $5k bucks, and it's still going strong 70k miles later! So far, everything's stock, but looking to get a little more aggressive. The front CV joints are shot, so that's next on my repair list if you have any tips. In the future, looking at swapping the autolocking hubs for manuals (debating the Mile Markers at $100 vs. the Warn at ~$350), and doing some kind of lift.
